| So, my take on it is that several posters, who own a "rod" shirt and do not own a Huddersfield Giants replica Challenge Cup 1953 Winning Replica Shirt, feel that the Giants version is far inferior to the "rod" shirt even though they have been unable to compare. Danril has bought a Giants replica, is happy with the purchase and compares it to an Australian Origin shirt that most people state are of a far superior merchandise quality compared to it's English counterparts.
Danril has not had the shirt long but several posters have a DeLorean equipped with a flux capacitor which allows them to time travel into Danrils future after several washes and see the shirt has suffered from "bitting" (not the correct terminology but near as damn it).
You really couldn't make this up and feel I must purchase a "rod" shirt as soon as. The material has been tested by the same methods above and can withstand flame, acid and sharp objects. Using the above method they have travelled to the year 2083 and they are now being used by the Army as the long lasting material is perfect for their uniforms.

Not a prob ! and many thanks for your support
If you can PM your size / sleeve length / and whether you want anything on the back I can probably get it through on the order in time for Christmas or at the worst before the start of next season
But bearing in mind your change of heart andthe fact you seemed to be dead set against the fact that the Players Association were doing something that the fans wanted - as Ive told other "customers" - I`m going to have a deposit as a bespoke shirt with GM on the back cant be sold to anyone else !
OK?
Finally -as its close season --I`ll need your contact details please
As DG said -back in February March etc before the season started -we cant see that satisfying the relatively small market demand and giving fans a "choice" of what they wanted to wear supporting their team in the current campaign cant be as bad as you "were" attempting to paint it surely - otherwise why would the marketing people at the club, and you, now have a different view ?
Similarly in these austere times if the difference in cost governs whether or not little Johnny can or cant have one like his dad in Santas sack - then we`ll be happy if hes happy Christmas morning -as I know some will be !

| You know, it's quite a well known way to try and weasel out of being completely ridiculous on an internet forum; claiming a wind up. In this instance though I have to hold my hands up and give credit where it's due. It's a work of genius & seriously impressive stuff.
Good luck with your new club. It's clear that with such well reasoned thought processes, eloquently and convincingly conveyed as you have managed to do thus far the next round of franchises will be an absolute doddle. I can only hope it is not at Fartown's expense. If only we had more intellectual heavyweights in the upper echelons of Huddersfield Giants RLFC, surely we'd have every pot every created in our cabinet this very minute. And wouldn't that be just fabulous? What an opportunity the club has let slip by not putting you in charge!

| Deary deary me. Seems you picked out the post what you wanted to read.
If I buy a traditional shirt it will be from the club and on Danrils recommendation. If you would like to meet me tomorrow morning with your unofficial non sanctioned version so I can compare, this would be fantastic. We can compare them in the club shop, bang them through several washes (followed by dryer) to see the condition after several washes
Danril, I suggest you take yours back to the shop in the morning and ask for a full refund. When asked as to why you would like to return the shirt, I would advise them that the shirt has indeed bobbled on the collar. When they ask where abouts, tell them no where specific, just all over "in the future". Print this topic as guaranteed proof.

| I'm taking the shirt back tomorrow. The reason? Well I've just purchased a season ticket for the embryonic club that will be SL champions in 6 years and as their first season ticket holder I got a free shirt! The collar is incredibly handsome, I'll tell you that for free!

Obviously from response ,You dont put brain in gear before writing and drunk or sober trip up as obviously youve changed your mind again !
Must be the thought of having to cough up a deposit ! Perhaps if you plug hard and long yer might get a freebie and then you can give Dan half towards his eh? Some chance !![/i

| all getting a bit silly is this.
ATEOTD,a lot of us wanted some retro fartown shirts to wear instead of the rubbish replicas the club/kooga were producing.
rod and the ex-players duly obliged where the club wouldn't, now the club haave decided there is a market after all for retro shirts and good on them for that, but to argue which shirt is the best is rubbish IMO, we should all wear our colours with pride regardless of where we got them.
by the way danril,i know we've said for years that the aussie shirt you wear would make a cracking fartown shirt, how good would it be if the club/kooga came up with something like that?

It'd be cracking and I'm sure it will happen one season. It is traditional yet would also be new because it's so long since we have had it. I can't remember us having it in my lifetime.
I bet it'd sell like hot cakes as well!
