It was only an enquiry to see what the reaction or preference would be, it wasn't done because it was felt that once the tickets had gone on sale those in reserved seating in the affected areas would not be pleased not being able to take up their usual seat.
It was decided that rather than upsetting a few supporters and risk losing their support, which was threatened, to not carry on with the plans.

The club seem to upset most of our fanbase these days simply by still operating so no point alienating them anymore.

This was nothing to do with Thewlis, in fact he stated that it was a no no to close the BR stand.

The chief exec of any organisation sets and should dictate policy the question came up in the 1st place because of the dire attendance in the previous round because of the pricing policy and making floating fans walk up pre game to buy a ticket, as well as a complete lack of marketing. Who does that stop with ?

Nope, not at all, if there was enough support for it it would have happened.

The idea would have been to try and make the crowd look better on TV and also to try and improve the atmosphere to help the players by having the fans sat closer to each other, unfortunately or fortunately which ever way your opinion was, some fans decided that sitting in their usual seat was more important and fair enough that was their choice and their opinion was taken on board, which was the whole point of gauging opinion rather than just implementing it and telling supporters they have to move.

This was something the HGSA were looking at, liasing with the club afterwards, it was NOT something the club had chosen to do.

But when I bought my ticket it was "non allocated seating" so if they taped off a section then I would have had to sit closer to the action. Stadium atmosphere ended up dead which surely played into the Dragon's hand's. Can't believe the ineptitude of the hierarchy of this club. Sometimes I think that Ken Davy and Co are using the Giant's as loss leader's for their other interests and tax deductible. Please prove me wrong but no owner would run a company so disastrously as we are being run at the moment.
