| as for hock and chase, well some may not believe they should be in the team.. but what they do bring is the ability to change games and also win games on their own sometimes!
they are risks but if we dont take the risks then we are never going to beat NZ and Aus.
looking forward to the world cup and cheering the lads on...obviously disappointing no crabtree/brough though

| Hock is a liabilty who should be nowhere near the squad.
Ablett though is in decent form and worth a place in the squad but should not be first choice. He is far better though than Wilkin or JJB who i feared would be picked.
Hardaker is a must pick as who else is going to cover for fullback if Tomkins gets injured.

| England have no chance of winning it, both Australia and New Zealand are miles ahead of us, at least they can't blame it on our players for not winning it.
McBanna has a few weeks left before he gets the boot.

In case O'Loughlin isn't fit.

| McBanana is a buffoon. We had to put up with him as head coach for too long and these picks just prove what he is.
McIllorum has been below average, Roby has hardly played, and Lunt has been the best hooker with Higham just behind. Brett Ferres is the stand out second rower this season, and big Earole has been excellent apart from a couple of dodgy performances right at the end. You have a right to feel a bit peeved!!

| Not the best selections, it seems that if you play in Oz it automatically makes you better than players over here...no Eorl or Lunt is baffling really.Maybe there is a perfectly understandable reason why these 2 have been overlooked...

| mossop showed against you and leeds that he is better than crabtree, but crabtree should of been in place of tom burgess who has only played a handful of games and hasn't really stood out in them.
Mcilorum is an old school hooker, Lunt is an identical copy of Roby and Roby has been shown to be ineffective against aus. Unless you win the majority of the ruck lunt and roby become average.
ferres has been in great form and is in the cover squad because he's no better than o'loughlin, westwood, burgess or hock.
Brough withdrew him self because the coach didn't come crawling to him pleading to accept an England invite.
And on top of that your big players have choked in the play offs

Somewhere in the dust of time rest the bones of the Galilean
He who was spat upon. He whose face was marred beyond all human likeness
Somewhere buried among the lies of the past rests the tomb of Yeshua
Of he who was made God in a world without Hope.
And when this son of Joseph is found. What then will the Church of Rome say?
Prepare yourself for the day is coming. And men will say
"Blessed are the wasted lives who perished in the flames of the holy war": |

| No, Brough wasn't picked because Macnamara is a thin-skinned egoist with little or no managerial skills and can't cope with players who don't insert their tongues in various orifices around his body. His reasons for not selecting him ie "He wasn't committed to England" after he chose to play for Scotland once Macnamara had ruled him out of England contention are laughable given that at least one of the players he has picked has stated he would play for another country if they picked them to.
Similar to his "I haven't picked Huddersfield players because they haven't played well in big matches" when the one player he has picked reserved his worst game of the season for last week's match against Warrington. Plus one of his "untouchable" half backs (to the best of my knowledge) hasn't won a Superleague play off game in his career if he's played in one.

Exactly. McNamara's justifications are weak. Weak. He's an egotistical person, comes across as arrogant and IMO only got the job as GB coach because no one else wanted it.
Some of his comments are derogatory IMO. Martin Offiah said in the MoS awards night that the perception of Huddersfield has changed but it seems not in McNamara's head. Strange as well because he used to play for us, he did well and was well regarded by the fans generally. I'm not sure if someone farted in his hat at a race night somewhere or something but he certainly seems to have a bit of a downer on us.
