Wild & Fatz - d040.gif to let them go.

Fooey I don't think is in NB's plans, though I would be sad to see him leave.

Fooey will probably struggle to get another permit.

Wild & Fatz I'd both like to stay. Aspers too if the price is right.

And a conviction in Australia which will prevent his permit renewal.

I have to agree with Wadski. the chances of Faiumu getting another visa is slim. If that is the case there is no point in signing him up, planning around him, for him not to be able to get in. A great player but the decision to let him go is probably out of our control.

Quote: Ivor C&G Scarf "Wild & Fatz -

I think that Fatz as good as he is may go to be closer to his famly back in NZ. a great player but again this might be out of our control.

Wild i would like to keep but you have to look at it in terms of the money he is on and his injury history. Dodgy knees do not improve with time. Medical considerations will determine whether he goes or stays.

Same with ASPY. When he came to us he was an international WINGER. Probably on the wages that went with that.As much as he puts the effort in and has been a revalation in the second row he would surely be fourth choice behind Fa alogo, Gilmour, Kirmond and Raleigh / Larne

Younge Elliot Hodgson looks a great prospect too! think we are at the moment spoilt for choice in a number of positions. i do think we will have to lose a couple to bring in more talent and if we need to make a call i'd think it would have to be the elder statesmen in Brett and Drewy that will make way for the young lads.

I hate to point out the obvious, but I think it was Brett and his skill that got us as far as we did go, before the collapse occurred at the end of the season. When you decide to jettison your senior players in favour of young guns, generally speaking, the team performs under par for a season or two, an example being the Weststigers.

I'm not saying that Brett is the whole team because without the effort of all the boys, last year would not have been as exciting as it was. He seems to want to play on and it seems that he wants to do that at the Giants.

It is too soon to let him go, let that knowledge and skill be allowed to continue to permeate the team and I think that as a result of him, Nathan, Paul and Mark plus all the unsung staff, will see the benefits for years to come, show some loyalty to a fellow who has given us so much to cheer about before you think the young players a ready.

Personally i would love to keep brett as long as he is fit as he does marshall our defence very very well.
Its a pity about faimu as i think we are starting to see the best of him at loose but then aspy has been outstanding there too.

I have heard Lolesi is intending to head back home too at the end of the season. Would love to see him stay as he has been excelent for us but we do have good options in 2nd row and centres.

As good as our acedemy players coming through have been doing i would like to see a proven quality player come in if we are to lose lolesi, fatz and fooey. I would imagine NB has already got names in mind with his contacts in oz and the potential qouta space we could see another brett or faalogo coming our way... or even better a british signing along the lines of gilmour.

well if it is true, can see aspinwall staying and kirmond to come back to replace wild and fatz

shenton is a very good player so would like to see that.

still want faiumu to sign up !!

i would keep everyone at the moment and just introduce the kids into the side - we've got the best squad i've seen and they are playing well and as a team so i would hate to see it broken up just to get new faces in, i realise it wont hapen as OOC players want to move on ect but thats my view
