tangata toa was dreadful,his offloads were shocking and he was the knock on king.Once saw chris orr out in town and he was p i55ed up telling me 2 years previous hed just missed out on origin selection lol

De Vere wasn't a try scoring machine - he was a defensive player and thats where people have him down as a bad player for us, maybe they were expecting a free flowing all conquering try scoring supremo to land in the UK - anyone who knew De Vere as a player knew what to expect from him and he delivered that expectation.

he also brought years of experience and class as a top aussie/soo/nrl player from which our players gained a hell of a lot.
he was a class act and anyone who cannot see that can't be very knowledgable about the game
