There will be more than Toronto who are capable of giving us a pounding in our present state. But i can't believe this guy is coming over here not knowing that, He has surely done his homework on S league, he wont just have looked at our games , He must think he can do the job or why bother coming.

I hope he's as hard as his rep seems to indicate, We might get to see who wants to play for us and who's here just for a wage, Any one playing League at Pro level deserves to be well paid but they also need to know it's not just a free ride, which is the impression you get from some of our players at times.

Spot on Jo this in my opinion has been a part of an underlying problem for the past few years.I certainly hope he has the b++s to sort some of the players out.It will not be easy but I wish him all the best.

yep we need to be getting behind him and the team right now, starting this friday with a winnable game against widnes who we have a decent record against , surely the players will want to give thorman a win in his last game in charge and also want to impress the new coach

then its onto the cup a fresh competition to get our teeth into! interesting few two weeks coming up could change our season with two wins

Woolford hasn't been in Newcastle long enough to have real links with local players.
Most of the "second tier" players he has recruited to fill out reserve grade have come from the Canberra area, where he has a lot of links.
If he goes on a recruiting spree from australia i'd expect most will come from Canberra. Canberra had a very strong under 20s side a few years ago - Zac Woolford was one of the standouts, and basically the leader on and off the field. You could do worse than picking up a few of those guys.
