Quote: Hangerman2 "We certainly do have some strength in depth. I have no doubt we will be playing exactly the same way we did last year, but that Watson sees Connor as the answer to our inability to convert possession near the line into points. He has been described as the most dangerous player in the league 10 yards out as thats where his skill and guile comes into play and he doesn't have to rely on pace. Time will tell if that will be a winning strategy but i can see his plan. We are still vulnerable to pace out wide, and other sides really latched onto this near the back end of the season, how we deal with teams that try to exploit this will probably define our season, or at least the backend of it. The real question is, will Watson be able to improve our performances in games that count, that is where we have been and continued to be last year, truly woeful over the years.'"
I’m not sure lack of pace out wide is as such a big issue- naiqama was the fastest player in his squad last year, remember senior outpaced regan grace, pryce has pace too. But I suppose it depends if Watson decides to play them.
