| Doubt Sezer could have made much of a difference to that. Maybe the biggest puzzle is why a big lump of a forward like Ashworth could not even make the bench.
Obvious our plan was to sometimes shift it wide coming out of our own half away from their power pack, but sadly that didn't really get us anywhere.

| Plenty of knee jerking on Facebook.
Not the best day at the office . Whilst our go forwards from the pack was not the best we held them pretty well in the middle and won the second half !

Bugger I can count. At least we drew the second half which considering how poor we were is not a bad result

| I think we (Hull) were always favourites for this tie; simply because of the amount of new players in your team and key pivots you were missing. I am a bit surprised Watson picked Gaskill at fullback though, he is a number 6 everyday for me and Darnell Mackintosh has always looked great when I have seen him at number 1. I think both teams showed enough to suggest they will possibly threaten the top 4 , although we lack pace in the backs and that will bite us against speedier teams who can match up in the forwards.
a good hit up - both coaches will have learned from it and I fully expect you to be there or thereabouts in the play-offs , injuries permitting.

| I was expecting more from you guys yesterday - in the end, quite comfortable for us and eased through the 2nd half. I am sure you will improve though over the coming weeks

| Hull were deserved winners. They tackled well and made very few mistakes. A good game plan well executed.
Clearly Giants had 6 new players which will take a while to gel. My worry is that Luke Yates, Josh Jones and Joe greenwood are all Michael Lawrence types of players who tackle loads, work hard but don't create much. Only Kenny Edwards is a flair player in the forwards.
In the backs father time has caught up with Leroy and is catching up with Jerry who has deteriorated (compared to his own very high standards). Ollie Russell gives 100% but for me is a top quality championship standard player.
I wouldn't put Darnell near full back. He's just not a clever enough rugby player.
Watson has work to do but early days.
