At the senior Giants last week Steve Fox said that Tom had played 60 minutes as hooker for the reserves at Hull KR he seems to think thats the way he will be going in the future.

| What a win, another win on the road and at the seemingly unbeatable champions. great defence after looking like we were gonna get steamrolled early on and that try to won it was superb even though its already been described as lucky.
once again we only won cos of a ref or the other team not trying teams just cant accept losing to us can they?
theres some classics on the saints forum
Quote: "An absolute disgrace.
Stupid, overly defensive selections. Clueless and guileless near the line.
This is f*cking Huddersfield who got dicked at home last week'"
Quote: "Defensively we played well. Their two tries where , in my opinion, lucky.
We had them well beat in the middle. They didnt want anything to do with us.'"
Quote: "Huddersfield had the Warrington playbook out, lots of stoppages for players down, lots of apparent feigning injury, etc.'"
Quote: "this was Huddersfield, hammered by the pies last week. Hewer was awful, fat and bent with gormless liners but we shouldn't have lost that.'"
Quote: " God forbid we ever get anywhere near the turgid levels that Huddersfield hit tonight. Total anti-rugby at times. Which is bizarre because their defence is actually very good.'"
Quote: "Trying not to overreact but that was shocking and embarrassing. My thoughts on that are as follows
Quote: "the only mitigating factor is no Coote but we should be putting 40 on Huddersfield even without him'"
Quote: "a Huddersfield side who did nothing but spoil and frustrate and slow us down.'"

We got over that after the no-drop goal at KR.
I have to say- saints fans are fecking bad losers! Anyone would think they were entitled to the win.

That would account for it then, I hope he is going to be given a chance to stake a claim for a place, AO is going well but not every Hooker is D Houghton and can play 80 minutes.

A bit early on the home game comment DG? We've only had one...

| Havnt really seen much of the younger Wardle, what kind of is he...Fast and Elusive or big and poweful or bit of everything?
With Newman looking the real deal for us having just turned 20 and Wardle playing well for you at 21...Added to Gildart (23) Conner (25) and Percival (25) England could be looking at some very good options in a couple of years.

Wardle didnt play for over two seasons due to injury- which indicates how good he really is. He was offered a contract even though he wasn’t fit and hadn’t played much- he’s a real talent, smart player, and still lots to come.

Who's as good as who is always a matter of opinion and in most cases theres a slight bias to that opinion, its not important though, im happy he's such a good young player, the more quality young players in the country the better...And credit where its due, Huddersfield are doing a great job in that regard, loads of quality youngsters coming through at the Giants.

Black Backgrounds/Statler.gif Run leroy , run !.... And he did - twice - and we partied hard...:Black Backgrounds/Statler.gif |

| Quite simply the best away performance for years.
We Went across really for the sing-song and to show support.
To beat a full strength saints, coming from behind, with just 15 fit players for most of the game was awesome.
Loved the way the players - and Woolford - celebrated with the fans afterwards. Even Ukuma with leg brace on , and Matagi who wasn’t even playing!
Anyone think of a recent better away performance ?

| If anyone is up for a laugh you really must go and read the comments on redvee- hilarious! They really need to “get out more” their lovely little safe forum isn’t doing them any good as they can’t cope if it doesn’t all go their way.

Wardle looks good, has natural evasion skills and is pretty quick and strong, decent under high ball too. I have to say though that Newman looks the best english centre prospect i have seen in a long time, Jake hasn't performed at that level yet, his development has been hampered by injury though and he is improving very quickly.
