| Quote: brearley84 "did brough cost us that game lastnight with his sin binning?
certainly not the first time his ill discipline has cost us a game this season
or was thaler just evening up the sin binning of webster
You asking that would imply that in your mind Thaler got it wrong with the Webster incident.
Not quite sure here but didn't Brough get in trouble for a similar tackle on Ferres.

| Broughy & Brett Hodgson - the best signings we have had in last 10 years. Both of them have won games by themselves. When Broughy first cam , I thought it was a mistake with his reputation but I've been proven well and truly wrong. Don't know where we would be without him. Yes, it would be a brilliant idea to get Broughy on the coaching staff as he would have the same attitude doing that job as he has now playing. If they can do it for Robinson & give an easy job to Crabtree, they certainly should do the same for Danny Brough!

| Brough is still the best in superleague at what he does best. I'd rather have him on the field on our side than against us. If he can pass on half of what he does well to Faz then that will set us up for a long time to come. But I do wish he'd always channel the passion in a positive way.

I agree with this, but League history is littered with top players who had a bit of Agro in them, and i really think that they wouldn't be the same players without it. There have been just as many top men who didn't have the attitude, I would say Lewis Jones was a perfect example, for those lucky enough to have seen him play , I would say he was the perfect sportsman.
Regards Brough I can't believe the club wouldn't try to make some sort of effort to keep him at the club, He has so much to pass on.

Good post fartown,I would also like to add a player like Brough plays with his heart on his sleeve and will always be wound up by the opposition. This season and others in the past I have watched replays of the Giants games and seen players go for his eyes and a number of other dirty tricks that most refs and linesmen seem to miss it's easy to criticise a player for reacting to underhand tactics such as these and I would wish that occasionally they would catch the perpetrator.I am not sure what Brough has been charged with v Castleford but I have watched the game three times and I think it may be for punching not for a cannonball tackle that some Cas supporters are saying.

| Whether Danny is costing us games or not, the only reason we are in those games to begin with is because of him. With what we've got at our disposal, his absence would cost us more games than his presence allegedly does.
With our current squad, I can't believe anyone seriously thinks we could do better without him.

Completely agree.
Daft thread
DB 6 = 90% good , 10% bad.
The most committed player on the pitch by a mile for us.
We should tie in him for coaching position post career as a true giant legend.
