| it won't be many- I suspect nearer 2800 than 4000. The fact they are doing deals on the first two games indicates sales were disappointing- but then what else can you do? It's all very well advertising but we are so used to ignoring advertising that it's not necessarily seen. Kr managed to sell 6000 without a cheap price- the interest is already there.
I've no idea when the next town game is or how much as I just don't look. Someone asked me last week about season tickets and was gutted when he realised he'd missed the early bird, so he won't now purchase. - if the club had sorted this earlier he would have been aware as he would have seen posters/flyers at the junior club- but as it's off season the opportunity to tap into that area was diminished.
Bumped into someone the week before xmas who used to bring her family and sit in front of us- she's not been for a couple of years- she was gutted she didn't know about the cheap tickets- but as it was the week before xmas when I told her about them she didn't have the spare cash to buy them.

i think the club did quite well on promoting the cheap season tickets this time, was in the papers, social media and signage on main road routes... surely if these people had the slightest interest in the giants they would have known! dont think advertising on tv before coronation street is within the giants budget. you can always suggest to them the £15 off for first two games..... but then they may want a lift to and from the game in a limo too
1500 season tickets sold to new fans.. so we saying only 1300 renewed from last season with this new cheap offer, cant see that
plus last time we read something about crabtree pushing for 5k season tickets saying they werent far away so i think the 4k is much more accurate

| Quote: GIANT DAZ "We've sold 1,500 new adult tickets, think we'd lost 300 from last year but that's probably the parents of kids who can't make Fridays (or Wednesday, Monday, Thursday) or the ones who are too old for the free tickets.
'"
losing 300 adults could turn put to be more like 1000 fans if each of them took 2/3 kids with them

Sounds to me like they wouldn't have bought season tickets even if the Giants had spent millions on marketing.
Anybody with the slightest interest could have easily checked the website - and then there was all the advertising in press, flyers, shops etc...
Sometimes they can't do right for doing wrong!

| The £15 offer is purely to try and get more in for those 2 games. The game cost of a season ticket this year means we can afford to do more game by game deals without it taking anything away from the season ticket holders - if it works great if not well at least they tried !
And sorry but anyone who has an interest in this club MUST have known about this deal it's been advertised and pushed massively.

I hope to goodness they didn't spend millions!!!
Not everyone eats sleeps and breathes giants or even RL- those are actually the ones we need to get. People genuinely weren't aware.
Anyone on here know how much a rugby union season ticket is? I'm sure they've probably advertised them- but I've no idea how much they were. Huddersfield town is all over - couldn't give you a scooby do how much the ST were this season.
The biggest issue has been the negative press from the rest of RL. Can't think of a journo/pundit who hasnt put us in the bottom four. Most have us in the bottom two and many rock bottom. There has been little in the way of positivity from anywhere outside our own club.

Entirely the point I was making. They obviously have no interest in the Giants.
You have no idea how much a HTFC ticket is despite all their advertising - are you therefore the type of person they need to get??
I have a slight interest in what they do, so know their season card was dirt cheap. However, I don't know what Carnegie's ticket price was, but do you know what, I could probably find out in less than a minute due to a wonderful thing called the interweb

| To say they obviously gave no interest in the giants is just not true. They just have other things in their lives. Both those I spoke about have been to games in The recent past- as I said one family were ST holders until a couple of years ago - but other family commitments meant they didn't renew- she didn't know the game night has changed or the prices were so different or she would have put some money aside and got tickets.. The other came to a few games last season and will probably now be getting the double ticket offer for the first two games.

| I'll certainly be making use of these ticket offers. I had to leave my season ticket for the first time in years due to changing to Friday nights, 2nd young child and travelling from Manchester makes it unfeasible for me to make 8pm Fridays all the time. I'd still be going to the odd game but this encourages me to go to a couple more.
Since the TV changes it makes a mockerey of changing to Friday nights in some ways.

thought that was the case.
and the club always do some kind of deal on particular games but i guess some people will just want to put a spin on it to be negative again
