| I've said since we knew Mamo wouldn't be fit Darnell would be my choice, he certainly deserves it after being so patient last year and not giving up hope.

Came on to see if Sicknote played last night, sadly sounds like he didn't. Tremendous player, if you can get him out there on the pitch, and he's interested.

| really impressed with the giants lastnight
the props especially taai and ikahihifo ran the ball in very hard and direct just what we need
clough showed up well too, reminds me of a paul jackson type player, does the hard yards
wakeman only had a cameo appearance looks on the small side but he only got off the plane on saturday so wont judge him on that.
brierley was alot mor involved on the game and looks good.
macintosh has to be full back for widnes game, he was very solid under the high ball and ran the ball back well.
leeming again very good and hinchcliffe went well at loose.
we should have won by more points, bombed quite a few chances, need to work on our last plays too.
to nil warrington at home takes some doing, you can see its a fitter team and better defence, not getting carried away but lastnight was impressive
symonds was having plenty of biff and it flared up quite a few times, seems we arent going to roll over for teams anymore and stick up for ourselves!

| You guys were definitely worth the win and agree with brearley84's comments generally but particularly those about your FB and Symonds (I wish someone had clattered him obviously ha ha). We definitely need to up our game and to be honest I was disappointed we were so far 'off'
Stood with a few Giants fans in the South, decent folk as to be expected. Good luck for the season ahead.

| Missing final passes has been our bane in recent times so I hope that can be tightened by next week - lost too many games because we blew chances
Otherwise all very promising

| Agree with all the positive comments - of particular note was the performance from Darnall who was solid throughout and was not all all fazed with the opportunity to play first team against SL opponents. Have been really impressed with him and looks to be a great prospect. No worries if he gets selected against Widnes and totally deserves a go.
Most impressed with the nil against us - defence was very good against some tough opponents. Seems we have added a bit of biff too and all seemed to be highly motivated to perform that all bodes well.
RS cute enough to realise where we need to improve in our last tackle plays, and generally in attack. Would like to see us play a bit more expansive but guess this will come once we get few games in.
Good signs all over the team though and we coped with a high level of inter changes without any noticeable change that proves we have plenty of options for the game day 17, true comp for places, and ability to rest up players during the srdon to keep all fresh for the back end when fitness really counts.
Well done to all fans who made the trip - not easy on s Wed night - especially when they decide to close the M62 for the trip home

Clough is not going to make lung busting 40 yard breaks, but he will do the hard graft all day long, both tackling and taking the ball up when defending own line

| Was talking to a player last night and he was very impressed by our pack... Seb, Ukuma, Clough, Mason, Symonds, Smith, Lawrence, Wakeman, Rapira - that's going to be quite formidable this season.
