| What a load of garbage, and Stone said he didn't see that coming. Has he not watched any videos of this seasons games?
In that first half I was embarrassed to be a Giants fan, hope some of those players who have forgotten how to play Rugby League felt the same. Suppose it's simple now, win our last 2 games or potentially lose your jobs.

He's been garbage recently, keeps dropping the ball and an absolute liability. Needs dropping for last 2 games.

Quote on Giants website is "Stone disappointed with Leigh performance" - getting really angry now with the dross comments every week - same old stuff as trawled out by PA - try being honest more like EMBARASSING, HUMILIATING, PITYFUL, RIDICULOUS, TRAGIC etc... We have no chance while we hide behind all this crap such as players being back available next week, will work on it this week in training bulls#it comments. Whoever is back next week won't matter - players wanting it will make the difference and that has been a season long issue that is sadly too late to change now.

................but being realistic they wont will they ?
Contracts nullified and THEY can negotiate to play in superlegue -some on abetter package than theyre on Brand new start for them --and brand new start for giants having to build it up all over again !!
Believe me if that happens after 68 years of support I might just not bother - and seriously there could be other "old codgers" feel the same sadly
Theres been many highs and lows along the way --but this really takes the biscuit with the players we have
When the club nearly went into admin and hadnt the resources to strengthen at least the likes of Senior Kenworthyand co gave it there best shot and personally played with some pride.
This season theres been none --or at least for"one half!
When I said it ought to be drilleed in that a match is 80mins I got my usual bashing
when I said forget the if we do / if they do - get out and win the game - same again
Lets face it --I get on great with most fans I know on here and know I frustrate them by being "pess---sorry realistic but many of them worry and frustrate me with thyere blind faith. I often had differences with Dan on here --but reading his latest rare post I sense hes beginning to sense the realism of what some oldies have encountered over the years
Totally self destruct at times -and yet again in probably the most important game of the season bar two now. It really beats me up!-and Boomer / SteveMay and others
Ok -its nice to have an afternoon out and if we go down -at least go down FIGHTING!
Yep theres still an outside chance of automatic promotion to avoid the dreaded - and the MPG but bloody hell - I think KD himself needs to get the WHOLE playing/coaching staff in a room /knock some heads together and spell out what he and the faithful fans and the CLUB need from them At the moment there isnt a glimmer of pride in evidence in half of several games as I said WHY??? KD ought to be given some tangible reason and for all concerned GET IT BLOODY SORTED
IT CAN STILL BE SORTED -DAMN WELL SORT IT AND QUICK !!

| I'm a Leigh fan and think Huddersfield are the best and most dangerous super league side we have played in the middle 8s. Leigh are playing very well and you ran us very close in the second half. I am in no doubt you will beat Hull KR and Leeds and remain in super league. My guess is Hull KR will be in the championship next season.

| On paper Viva Tim we had no chance.Household names would still be household names.Rejected SL players could never be SL players again, old legs would never match current internationals. The most important thing was missed, team spirit. You can't coach that.and once a team has it,there's no mountain high enough.

| l,m not a stats man, but l think that first half was the worst 40min produced by any team in the three divisions this year. l hope they were kept back, and not aloud a Saturday night out, and should have been in training at 7am this morning and every day this week, being flogged and at the end of every training session be made to watch that first 40 over and over again till way past bedtime.

| So after today's results and the upcoming fixtures it's almost a certainty that we will be up against good old Salford in the MPG. Hull KR will bag loads of points next week against Featherstone so even if by some miracle we beat them in our last game we are looking at a mountain of a points difference. Just can't see us getting a result next week against Leeds, they will love rubbing the salt in too.
The biggest worry is our record in pressure games. Challenge cup record in last 5 years...awful. Play offs...equally awful. Leigh away....abysmal. And on top of all that we have what looks like a bunch of players who aren't particularly bothered when it gets tough.
Got a really bad feeling about this.

Looking at the fixtures, all three clubs could well end on 8 points for 3rd, 4th, 5th, with it coming down to points diff (I expect you to beat HKR). Salford are a way behind, but should get big scores against Batley and London to catch up.

| It was obvious that Leigh had a plan to move the ball early and target the Giants right side defence. This was were all the first four tries were scored. Now the stupid mistakes did not help as Leigh were gifted possession. However what did the coach do to address the issue. Why not either drag another man over or maybe even swap centres or wingers as clearly there was a major issue in a part of our defencive line that has been a problem in the past. The Leigh game plan was simple but massively effective.
The four defenders on that side Ellis,Taai,Cudjoe and Mcgilivary had to make a total of 108 tackles in the game. The four defenders on the other side Brough,Lawrence,Wardle and Murphy had to make 43. The tactics were so obvious so why did we deal so badly with it. What then compounds the problem is we have a fullback who cannot read play with no pace and no reaction speed. He should have been across helping and added to that his efforts for the Patterson and Brown tries were woeful. I think we have to look at other options at fullback for the next two games.
Finally why did Connor do a large amount of kicking in the game. Does this suggest they are covering up for the fact Brough is not fully fit which if true is a major concern for the next two games.

That problem with the defence down the RHS has been obvious all season. We've lost several games as a result of it. Jerry missed three tackles down that side and for two of the scores didn't even get close enough for it to count as missed. I get that he's coming inside to help out in defence as leroy is coming in- (and is doing far too much tackling) but if he came in by a shorter distance he would have more chance of also covering his outside - whilst the fullback should be covering between- he needs to even out the distance between his inside and outside esp as he should be able to see that winger is camped on the line. He instead gets closer to leroy. you can SEE it happening! Agree about Connor he just can't read the game defensively- I don't think the reason Connor was kicking is a clue to brough not being for- I just think they thought brough and Ellis would be targeted and so hoped Connor would get more time and space (and he still kicked out on the full).

| Most of the tries Leigh worked a 1/2 man advantage. Not much Jerry or Leroy can do when the inside defenders have already let them down.
Leigh were awesome in the game let's not do them a disservice. But we were disgraceful.

I wouuldn't say we're (Salford) way behind.
We're currently 55 points worse off then Hull KR and 51 points worse off then Huddersfield in terms of points difference.
Like you said, we 'should' get big scores against London and Batley. The PD can be wiped out in 1 game.
All I know is it's going to be a nervous few weeks for all involved.

The problems started when Ellis just stood there and didn't want to take responsibility to catch that deep kick off.
As a team badly at fault for the first try.Leigh loaded 8 men onto their left edge, against just 6 of ours, one of those 6 being our FB covering across. Our markers and the 3rd man in the previous tackle didn't react to the danger just sauntered over never getting involved in the play.It was a well executed move by Ley,our inside defenders got sucked into the decoys so Cudjoe and McGillvary were facing 5 players coming at them, they had no chance.
Who was at fault for this, coach,fb not numbering up,markers and 3rd man in tackle not reacting, take your pick.
Leigh put the same play in about the 34th minute, but the message had gone out,the inside cover were there in a flash including the left edge 2nd rower who had moved across.Closed down the play this time, but all too late in the day.
Need to give Ley some credit for their structures, the second try when the prop came around the back of the ruck would have been hard for most teams to defend.
