I know what you are saying here, but why would winning a cup game , or even the C Cup make up for a season like we have had.

I have little confidence of avoiding the million pound game.
We should beat position 2-4 in the championship but were else is a win coming from.

Leeds will probably be much better with the return of some big names. That leaves Leigh, Hull Kr and possibly Salford. There is a good chance two of these will be away from home which on current form gives us little chance. The one home game would be vital but after the last two games i am not even confident we would win this.

if we win the cup thats better than winning the grand final??

certainly gets more exposure on the bbc and at wembley!

I get what you are saying, but The C Cup is very much about Wembley only ( especially for Giants fans ) Even the top sides can't pull crowds in for Cup games. If we had the best possible result, I can't see it would do much for us should the worst happen league wise. If we are not in S league next year it will be a disaster for the club.

sorry 1961 a review at the end of the season is to late . you will find recrutment of players and back room staff will have been done by now.
after magic we have gone backwards .carry on like this and we could end up not even in the milion pound game .a new coach normaly brings a lift for me time has run out for Anderson new coach now would have a few games to turn things round before the middle 8 .

I wanted a change ages ago with time to put a new man in place.

I don't think the club have acted quickly enough and with the sad events with Ronan it would look crass to sack the coach just at this moment.

However if we lose at Salford and go out of the cup maybe then it would be a rethink although popular opinion says if we get to the CC semi and it's a bloody 'big if' now it will save PA's job again as the St Helens win at 'magic' seemed to do.

Perhaps Thorman with the help maybe of Brough and Hinchcliffe could see us to the end of the season, It's becoming now about survival and what we have now is clearly not working.

Sorry but the whole point of my suggesting retaining Anderson is a sticky tape solution could be worse.

Andy Kelly maybe he has 1st team coaching experience but would still be a big gamble.

When we hit the middle 8's Purtill should be put on 'garden leave' as us v Leigh would be a major conflict of interest especially if we meet them again in the relegation game

Well its happened Anderson and Purtill have left with Andy Kelly in short term charge until a replacement is found.

Maybe it will concentrate the minds of a few more people, I really hope we put everything into staying in S league, It's far more important than the C Cup, much as I would love another trip to Wembley.
