| All the coaches i've spoke to have all said yes we are a bit light so it's not like they haven't been trying to strengthen.....obviously we want quality players and there's less of them around and plenty other clubs after them.

| Quote: Durham Giant "We will see in July.
I an happy to be wrong.
Heres looking forward to him playing 30 + outstanding games.
The issue for me was that i felt our squad was too small and lacked the quality for a title challenge this year.
Losing Ferres and the injuries confirms that to me.
I would rather than Anderson be planning for next season. Improve the quality in the squad make some changes and have a proper go next season.'"
As for larne- so what if he's playing for a contract as long as we get the best from him!
You'd rather sack off this season- after one game? Which you didn't see? Seriously!

If the alternative is getting in second rate players because they are available which means we do not have space next season YES.
No problem getting cover in for this season if that's what we do BUT giving longer contracts because we are desperate is foolish.
There are unlikely to be any decent players out there who are not already tied up with clubs. So what will be available will be limited unless we get Mitchell Pearce !!!!
Our recruitment is not always the best.
We have given extensions to players who were past the best.
Someone at the club thought Keith Mason was worth 100k a season so maybe i am right to be suspicious

We've not got foster signed on a five year deal- he's on a trial period so your argument doesn't follow.
As for Mitchell Pearce -the guy who's currently in extended rehab?????
We sacked a guy for tweeting a picture of an anus- sold one on whod glassed a woman and got rid of another who had an extra marital affair with a teammates wife-
So ken will ok signing a guy with alcohol problems who's been involved in a couple of "incidents" with women making accusations against him, and videoed simulating a lewd bestial sex act - yep can see that piece of hypocrisy happening...

After how he went to Wigan he made it clear he did not want to be at the Giants and you were all on here saying good let him go.
Jesus you are a shortsighted bunch.
He is playing for a contract and then can leave on a free.
He would have stayed at Wigan but because we were holding out for a fee he had to come back.'"
I thought Wane didnt want to keep him thats why he came back ,thought he went really well at saints ,my man of the match and i only saw him drop 1 pass which was a hard pass to take

| I don't get the whole we all said we were glad to let him go?
It was a shock when he had gone to Wigan but I am sure the majority understood why he would want to play for them and wished him well.
For me he is a good pack player. At loose he has freedom to run some decent lines all over the park. He tackles well, is a physical player that doesn't really lose his head as similar style players do. Glad he is back and imo is a plus in our team

man of the match
did you see the pathetic attempt to stop that saints try close to the line, should have been smashed into not going over the line but no.. there was another giants player involved too in that, poor.
like ive said before its not after 1 game this knocking on issue he has, been going on for seasons and i was hoping it would have got better with a season at wigan but it hasnt on what ive seen so far.
where he has improved is he can play more minutes now than before.
hope he can get back to the clean breaks he used to do a few seasons back

The panic stations are fully manned - I shouldn't be surprised but I still can't believe some of the rubbish I'm reading on this forum at the moment.

| You'd normally expect it spread over a season, but after 1 game it is mind boggling.

| someone should point out that we might have a few more defeats coming our way if we carry on losing our best and more experienced players.
mind you a lot of folk got some experience in last year so are bang ready for it this.
batten down the kneejerking hatches!

| I wouldn't mind but Patrick doesn't drop the ball anymore than anyone else (and significantly less than some I could name).
Besides perhaps if some of our players threw their passes a little softer, especially near the defensive line, we might not drop quite as many.
