| Apparently Brierley has confirmed he is able to leave Leigh if he wants too and on some forums is being linked with Huddersfield as well as Hull. I have no idea if there is any truth in any of this but Hey ho.
My opinion on Brierley is ,he is a player in the Myler sort of style, more of a backing up, flair type of player, I would say if N Brown had still been our coach he would have been a very worthwhile risk, Browns real talent was with individual players, I think if Brierley does get to a better club he has every chance to be a top player.
I quite like a player with a bit off the cuff stuff, but it's not a route the Giants are known to go down, Any off the cuff stuff we see has to come from Brough and he is generally very well marked, The first requirement for Flair is a fair bit of pace and we are not very well endowed there, but as our recent record shows it's not essential.
Another Rumour I picked up, and it is just a rumour, was Rowley to Fax, Marshall to Giants.
I'm a bit surprised at the previous poster claiming Brierley is not super league level, I have to admit I haven't seen him play in Super league, and have only seen him on TV but Leigh had some very good wins last season against top opposition and he looked very good to me.

Brierley's what, 24? He's played a handful of cup games against decent SL opposition and last season's middle 8s (in which he and his team failed spectacularly). I'm not saying the lad hasn't got potential but most players his age that amount to much are already ripping it up at a much higher level than the championship. It seems to me mere guesswork to suggest he's capable of playing at SL level to a high and consistent standard. And I write this as a Leeds fan, a club he's strongly rumoured to be joining next year.

The point I was making was , He has talent and with the right coach he could well become a super league player, Always a risk but what isn't. I take your point about Leigh failing spectacularly in the playoffs, But was that down to Brierley or the whole team, and they aren't the first to do that are they, nor will they be the last.
Anyway it was just an opinion and worth a comment as it's in the news, I don't expect him to be at the Giants.

| Effective but niggly. Not sure he'd be best unless on loan, players will start to come back in the next 2-3 weeks, Brough for one. If you are going longer term signing then someone younger would be better. We are a very light squad as these injuries seem to amplify (half back problem being a bit out of the ordinary) and I don't see likes of Foster being the answer.

I would agree. Rather get the right players in and have a go next season than buy average / old players because we are desperate now.
The positions we need to recruit to in my order of preference is
Half Back
Full Back
Centre
Back Row forward
