We are as good as anyone in the league but not when we only play for 50-60 mins

We haven't played for 80 mins since 2013 a far as I can remember. I'm tired of the same old we get in the Examiner - they tend to use the word 'hopefully' a lot. Need to get the mind in gear from second 1. I remember that first lick and chase from the off v Leeds in the semi at Odsal. That set the tone for the whole game. I'll be looking at the defensive line speed from the off on Friday as it always seems to give a good indication of how we will go.

Agree about the line speed from kick off and in general. Throwing 3 or even 4 into the tackle from the off and crunching a few bodies can set the tone from the start.
I'd like to see it happen more regularly.

poor discipline (ferres) and poor tackling (mullally) didnt help on that 18-0 front!

i liked the way kaufusi used to go flying in like that but he decided to back to oz after the way we treated him

told him he could basically go rot at bradford but credit to the lad he wanted to fight his way back in the team here and he did so.

Not strictly correct Brearley,Kaufusi was sent to the Bulls because he was unfit the Bulls wanted to sign him but he preferred to fight for his place with us.He did come back fitter and regained his place on merit.Just one other point,Larne Patrick,Jason Chan and Antonio Kaufusi had the same agent,work that one out for yourself.

I think the criticism of Ferres and Cudjoe has been very harsh. The issue that is causing problems for both of them is the same – the preference of attacking down our left hand side. Teams are fully prepared for this, they set themselves for it which makes it easy to defend – it’s not that Ferres has been ‘figured out’ as some have stated it’s just that we’re not giving him a chance and this in turn is leading to some frustration resulting in some of his ill-discipline. This of course then impacts of Wardle and what he can feed to his winger. With the preference for going down the left, Cudjoe is starved of ball which leads to him trying to force things when he gets it. We need to mix up our attacking play much more.

I don’t see any point in moving Connor from full back or dropping him to make way for Grix – I’d be disappointed if this happened. I’m a fan of Grix and would have no worries about him playing at full back but I think Connor has earned the chance for a run in the team with his last 2 displays – yes, he made two important mistakes against Leeds but that is always going to be the case when young player comes through and the only way of reducing those type of errors is give him experience.

Ellis and Huby are also showing signs of settling. Which each game we are seeing more kicks from Ellis and in the last two games I even saw more hints of us using our right hand side more. Huby’s off-loads have also increased.

Hopefully Widnes’ last result and our 3 losses will mean we give them their due respect but, at the end of the day, whatever the previous results, Widnes at home is a game we should be winning and I expect us to do so even though I see it being tight.

Sorry Bilko, can you explain about Patrick, Chan Kaufausi and same Agent. Are you saying Kaufausi had to go to Bulls to get Fit? Then that begs another Question about Conditioning at Giants ?

It might have been clearer if I had said match fit.As for the same agent think about it,Patrick wanted to leave the giants for some time.
