Wardle through five punches at a player who threw none back.
At least peacock was in a fight situation against someone who was fighting back

He didn't he just went in with the elbow and a headbut whilst a player was on the floor.
Just shows how poor the disciplinary is.
One player gets 2 games for kicking someone in the head whilst another could get 8 games for making a homophobic comment to someone who is not gay.
But you can get away with saying someone is a fecking barsteward or a fecking c&nt.
Be interesting if someone says are you mental for making that pass. Would that be classed as discriminatory? |

i just think its a bit pointless that you are complaining about a bit of facial in the tackle - that probably was a response to the forearm from peacock earlier - as if its something new or terrible. That sort of thing happens ALL the time and is ignored. Im not saying its right but dont act as if it was something that your players dont do - remind me again how big a ban ablett got for doing similar to wardle? I dont recall any leeds fan calling for a ban for ablett at the time. You want leeds players to be treated any differently to the rest?
As for the homophobic comment - it makes NO difference whether the player said it to someone who is homosexual or not - in fact using it towards someone who is in fact not homosexual as an insult sort of explains why it was wrong! if you cant see the difference between swearing at someone and questioning their parentage and using a homophobic slur in a pejorative way then can

He is contesting the charge!!! That seems unbelievable, on TV it seemed clear that he made contact with 4 seperate punches (one on the ground and 3 after he got to his feet). He punched the guy 4 times, how can he claim he is not guilty?
I would have thought he should get the top end of the punishment or EGPs are pointless, it seems a crazy decision to contest the charge - cue the committee agreeing that his clenched fist was headbutted 4 times.
The real scandal though is that Thaler didn't send him off - we will never know but Leigh could be in the semis if Thaler had not bottled it.

it wouldnt suprise me in the slightest if its downgraded to a grade a with NFA. yet wardle was charged with grade C- obviously he punches harder 
expect kr and wakey fans to be upset if thats the case given moore and weymans bans. |

If you read my post I also compare the miserly 2 games Ablett got for kicking someone in the face.
Now only Ablett will know if it was intential.
I think he went to kick the ball and got it wrong and realised what he had done.
That compared to making a homophoebic comment or any comment for that matter does not compare IMO.
All of a sudden every rugby fan has become PC.
Back to JP. Did he really connect with all 4 punches? I think not.
Maybe JP should just have nutted the guy and it would all be forgotton now.

you are getting upset now though. Now it involves JP. I don't recall any Leeds fans stating wardle should have received SOS after provocation by wind up extraordinaire ablett.( Plenty calling for a ban for briers though)Or stating weymans ban is harsh.
As for the homophobic comment - well those with 1970s views like that won't have their minds changed. Do you think 5-8 games would be harsh if Briscoe calls mcgilvray the n word on Thursday?
