You should never have been allowed to have a full time squad in the NFP in 2002 when the rest of the league was part time. The biased RFL stopped good traditional hard working clubs like Hunslet and Dewsbury from coming up to replace you when you were bottom but they then let you go full time professional and have an unfair advantage to get you back up at the expense of Leigh or Rochdale.
Then in 2003 you came up as the thugs of SL with those guys like Gannon, Bloem, you should have been kicked out of the league for ruining the game with your spoiling tactics but once again the RFL turn a blind eye and let their favourites have special treatment.

2008 you should have been kicked out of the league for saying you had the biggest announcement in the club's history and it was next year's season ticket deals.

Agreed.
I'm sure, if you don't win the playoffs, fans from other clubs will be outraged at the injustice of the SL playoff system, asking how is it fair that the team that was most consistent over the whole year didn't end up champions.

To be honest that just goes to show how far out of touch supporters are these days.
Do you think the players give two hoots what other teams players think let alone the fans or keyboard warriors of other sides. Of course they do not, most of the side have never been within touching distance of winning anything and will want to win for themselves their team mates and their fans.
I fear the MOS might not be the real deal as I can see a lot of dislike for Tomkins and some for Danny and as with Chase 2 years back it might be someone out of left field, I hope I am wrong but players do not seem to take their vote as seriously as footballers do for PFA player of the year and I would wait until the results are released before trumpeting it as a reflection of Giants standings with other teams.
Probably just as well Wakey have fallen out of contention for the play offs as Danny Kirmond could have been a real option for top 4 players who refuse to vote for players from another top 4 team. |

At the time we won it it was regarded as a great honour, I remember our playoff opponents bringing a sign saying WELL DONE WIRE.
The league started getting devalued when we lost to Leeds in the next game, and they won from 5th.
