I thought it was a game between two good sides. My only gripe is Bentham not policing the 10m as I felt we got a poor rub at times. Thank Christ they called back the Dan Marino effort as for a few seconds I thought they were actually going to give it. The score flattered us a little but I felt we were good value for the win.

Leroy Cudjoe was my MoM. He is now starting to believe in himself and I hink that will only make him better. He made Ben Galea look like a chump tonight and that is no easy feat. For my money LC was tonights MoM.

Leroy did play well but a couple of times i thought he could have got Jerry away but came back inside.

Despite that i think Leroy is getting better every game. He is not the finished article yet but is still young and getting better. He is as good as any centre playing in SL. He will be superb in the future.

Cudjoe was very good but IMO was pipped for man of match by Murphy.
Top efforts also from Lunt,Fielden and Ferguson.

Yeah he should have passed to jerry before he was held up. But defensively leroy was extremely solid and (him and wardle in defence) kept us in that game. I agree MOM followed by wardle and smurph.

Don't agree about Cudjoe not passing to his winger. On neither occasion was there an overlap and if the ball had gone to Mcgillivary he would have been shoved into touch. I am happy to see Cudjoe backing himself as I feel in the past he has been too quick to make the pass.

Murphy was very good. Solid under the high ball and a very clever player. He thinks. I pick Leroy because he is challenged and tonight he won and also showed self belief.; When he whacked Galea (could be wrong) at first marker and he didn't like it he leant in and jerked at him as a display of his confidence/self belief. Leroy was good enough to do that last year but didn't believe in himself enough. Now he does and that spells trouble for the rest of Super League. He is a massive unit with a great defence, a clever brain and now realises he is a top laker with skills. I tip my cap to him and the entire side tonight for their perseverence.

I thought Grix had a good game as well. But to be honest that was team performance from 1 to 17 they worked their socks off and i reckon some of our forwards will be very sore tomorrow.

Thought Wardle had a mixed game in defence. There were three occasions first half when there were clean breaks made from deep down his side. Luckily they managed to scramble back to stop any real damage.

I agree that showed some real determination to get the tackle in. In some ways it suggests a more winning mentality and a little bit of arrogance that players need to realy peak. A good sign that things like confidence are rubbing off on some of the players.

Cudjoe has had the likes of Manu,Galea,Moon,Farrell and Lauatiti running. At him this season and they have had little joy. His defence has been superb and what makes this even more impressive is that this was an area he struggled with in the past so has obviously had to work very hard at in training to get to this level.

It was worrying because they stood off and watched them for patches. Hull play a game based on momentum. The look for quick PTB's and for Houghton to scoot or throw a pass to a man running at speed. We stood off at times and then we let them get a roll. They're a good side Hull. But they don't utilise their talent enough IMO. They put too much pressure on Holdsworth to do it all. Saying that though they have a number of injuries atm that will hinder them.

Good side though.

Quote: Wadski "The problem is the league title means nothing. Who won it last year? I cannot even remember.

In our sport you can finish in the bottom half of the table with more loses than wins and still compete for the Grand Final.

Giants are doing well, but as the Leeds fans were keen to point out last week....it means nothing until October.'"

but when the play offs start the crowds are still poor, the challenge cup is the same. this great game of ours doesnt get the crowds it deserves which is a shame
