| No they haven't
Not even remotely have they "set a precedent"
The situation between Salford and Bradford couldn't be more different

| I'm not going to pretend I know the full ins and outs of Salford's situation in situ or in comparison with Bradford's, I just feel for the fans as it must be a horrible sinking feeling to watch a club you follow end up in such a dire situation.

buy a season ticket, thats the best thing you can do to help the club.'"
^ This - the lifeblood of the club, and don't take my word for it just ask Ken Davy.
Even if you always take the budgie for it's annual shampoo and set without fail every last Sunday in June of every year, and so have to miss a home fixture, still buy a season ticket.

| I think when Ken calls it a day we will be in a pretty bad way yes, the question is how long have we got till then and can we make enough progress to appeal to someone else or indeed get by without a 'sugar daddy'.
I've seen this club nearly fold 2 or 3 times now so it isn't new territory should it get that bad again but not somewhere i want to go again.

| As fan who has already bought ST. it seems to me that all the exhortations to follow giants and all things done to promote attendance is aimed at people who are already fans and not enough done to publicise outside existing fan base. I know advertising costs money, but as the saying goes you've got to speculate to accumalate.

| As a PS to my previous post. The only indication of the Giants I can think of is the shop down in town which sells the merchandise. Other wise I can think of no other sign of the Giants in or around Huddersfield.

Agree with this, its almost as if its a case of 'oh well, if they come they come' from the club at times.

| Yeah, I've said this before but the shop is in the wrong place - where it would be best to place it is a matter of opinion though...

| There was a copy of the twah-uwag splash screen on a huge plateglass window Kirkgate end of packhorse. Also large plastic sign on rails outside George hotel, and posters outside founders bar.Not to mention loads of copies of st papers in railway station foyer.
Suppose the club are always open to suggestions from fans about how things could be done better.

Haven't had chance to follow this story that closely yet,but is this the sum of cash needed short term to ensure they can start next season?
Surely the RFL must step in and help like they did with Bradford.
Still in the final shake up Salford need someone to take over the club long term. They are trying to get investors interested before the last resort of administration it would seem.
This throws up a lot of questions about the franchising carry on.Were the clubs forced to move too fast to get into new stadia and all concerned just banking on more speccies automatically coming through the turnstiles.Suppose it's the job of the governing body (RFL) to try and drive up standards, but in this case has it backfired badly.
Salford struggled on at the Willows for long enough, but kept going.
Good stadium is that new one,not sure why more locals don't want to get behind that club.Salford area though it's seems has less appetite for RL than Huddersfield and we struggle compared to others.
The greatest kick in the teeth for RL will be if in the only long term beneficiary will be the Sale rugby union.

not too sure either, just know the council have withdrawn the offer of 750k so they are now short with the season soon to start
i think salfords new stadium is in a poor location, just seems to be out in the middle of knowhere!

And are you willing to cough up the £350,000-£750,000 this would cost?
