The problem being we are not buying just a set of kit off the shelf as an amateur or student side does, choice is not the real issue but how many kits we would be obliged to buy and by implication be able to sell, the amount of tops we seem to be lumbered with at the end of each season suggests we take in a big amount from Kooga and I'd guess ISC would not work on much different figures.
Have the feeling if we are to move on it will be with a smaller supplier who can accept smaller inital orders and produce more if required at short notice, the real problem with that being the likelihood of a small merchandise range but as I have said before Kooga's range for Ospreys is tremendous for us poor so its not the supplier per se that is the issue but our relationship with them and the amount of potential profit they see in the deal.

I think if true that sums up where we are with them in we get no real say on what they give us whilst they concentrate on RU and clubs that give them a decent profit.'"
Sorry, but this assumption/rumour is absolute and total garbage. Ring the club and ask!

As the rumour came out of Salford it is entirely possible that the club did not know and Salford got offered two away kit options then we got offered the rejected one.

| Fair enough guess that puts that one to bed but opens up another can of worms, lets hope he put his crayons away and let someone else design next season's effort.

| Would love to see a claret shirt with a gold V. That would get my money, no question. One year it just might happen!

As it seems the club has more imput than most on here thought into kit design you would think views would be canvased or some sort of online poll or such like could be set up to see what people want and you would guess if their views were listened to it would see an increase in sales.
Fans have certainly got out of buying the shirt in great numbers due to lackluster efforts in recent years and hopefully it is something the club will try to turn round this time.

I think the away shirt was much popular than the majority on here hope.
The majority of people I know who have seen the shirt (supporters and non-supporters) like the away shirt and its use of modern colours and patterns.
I agree that the home one should be in traditional colours and designs, but the alternate should be something very different and provides an opportunity to be experimental.
For the record I always buy a new shirt each season and last year I went for the alternate one.

| Biggest argument for going with a new supplier is that after so many years with Kooga, a different supplier could create fresh interest among supporters and re-invigorate the offer.
Kooga remain a prestigious rugby sports brand, despite recent loss of RL contracts. Can another well known brand replace them and offer better tems and service ? Are there smaller brands out there that could do the job -possibly, but is it good for the image of the Giants to be associated with an unknown manufacturer you might more commonly see in the Championship ? Probably not.

So someone with no dress sense and no idea what many people wanted- that should narrow it down!
The away kit was popular with the younger supporters no doubt-but if they do anything like this again they need to make the home shirt very traditional to cover all tastes. The home shirt was as uninspiring as they come- I bought one because it was either that or the one that looked like the pictures my daughter brought home from play group. If this years is as uninspiring I won't be getting one, ill wear crackerjacks retro home and away.

They grey shirt has apparently sold better than a lot of other recent ones.
With regard to listening to fans, they eventually have and been ripped apart on here for it [hooped shirt].
