I am pretty sure the 'fog' match was the league game over there which was our first match of the season back in the middle of winter (December time i think)
We then also played then there in the challenge cup and the Buddies but i thought both these were in better conditions.
It was a great season that and really got my enthusiasm back for the game after years of defeats in super league. I think i only missed a couple of games all saeson.

I was thinking that as I remember going to Donny in the fog but i didn't go to the CCup match, only the league game and the Buddies Cup match.

| Can anyone remember the one match that season in which we didn't score a try? And why did Paul Reilly kick a goal against Batley?

| the game we did not score a try was the league match at craven park.
it was either 4-2 or 6-2 to us although we did hammer Hull KR in the buddies final and the home league game.
i presume reilly kicking a goal was for a career landmark. was it his 100th Giants appearance ?

| Yes , 3 Thorman goals at HKR. 6 - 2 to us. No idea on Reilly. I was there but just can't remember why. We scored 277 tries that year Thorman and Macnamara with most of the kicks, but Bob Roberts got over 20 and the 1 from Paul.

| I think it was because Reilly had never kicked a goal in his professional career.

| I seem to remember Tony Smith saying that one of Paul Reilly's personal goals for the season was to kick a goal. (pardon the pun).

| Reilly kicked the goal against Dewsbury in the Nfp- he also scored one against castleford in his testimonial year - it was one of his personal goals he'd set to do in his testimonial year -another was reaching the cc final-which he did!
