You would never catch me with one of those childish signatures: |
|
| Quote: Willzay "Warrington have been dirty tonight'" What game were you watching? a shocking high tackle by Lee and Brown and Gilmour both penalised for leading with the forearm/elbow into Warrington players faces.

| Lee should've walked but so should've Briers and Bridge, their cheap shots on Brown were totally uncalled for.

| To be fair the discipline on both sides was poor. A fair appraisal would be that probably one player from each side should've been sent off & maybe 2 others each sin binned.
Lee deffo should have gone then & there. But so should Morley for raised knees in the tackle twice. No-one mentioned that. Yes Gilmour led with the forearm & maybe a 10 min sit down was in order. The Brown one was inncuous tbh....hit the defender in the chest & the impact flung his arm upwards so it looked a great deal worse than it was. Westwood clearly led with the elbow twice...nothing said. Bridge did a shocker too.
To be fair, neither side covered themselves in glory tonight. Wire just deserved to win in my view, got no complaints about that. But let's not pretend that Wire were choirboys & Fartown were dirty so and so's, as that is just daft.

| In my opinion both sides lost it for a large part of the game due to poor refereeing.
Leading with the elbow like Gilmour did should have got a a yellow and none of the other stuff would have happened..
Just so you know on what I saw Lee straight red Brodge minimum yellow probably red.

| If you need that explaining then it's the least of your worries.
The Lee shot was bad but he had his hands up to apologise before the first retaliatory punch hit him. ATEOTD the game is gone now, Wire won it. Suffice to say there was some dubious stuff going on from Wire too. Twisting the player so he was facing his own goal line way after the tackle was complete. Jibbing in the knee to slow the PTB. Hanging on for dear life in some cases; the Waterhouse professional foul hanging on after that break was as clear a 10mins as you will ever see in your life. But what does it matter now? It's gone. Wire won 2 points. Martyrs they most certainly aren't.
Roll on next week.

| I'm talikng about a red card. Some people are saying it should have been 12 v 12. Apart from lee nobody did anything from either side that warranted a red card.

| Bounce of ball game that.Warrington took the lead with a Dan Marino special and then had a nice bounce for the next try and then the "ball steal" try.
As for niggle Lee was out of order but Westwood,Bridge and new look fatboy Briers were outrageous.
On a different day that was a Giants win. Lots of positives. Never gave up and heads never went down.
Greg Eden looks like he will be sensational if he cuts down the errors.
Lovely to see giants standing so far back and giving the ball some air. Against lesser teams that will pay dividend.
For me bookies favourites Warrington were spoiling all the way through and that shows how much they respected the Giants.
ATEOTD though a backs to the wall win with two players down so fair play for that.
Am i right in thinking Mr Bentham lives in Warrington by the way ? (next door to Lee Briers?)

Why is everyone getting so worked up. It was a tough game between two top sides that would have made great viewing. But if you don't think wire were the better side (marginally!) then you don't know your rugby league

Nothing bitter in my analysis. Warrington got the bounce of ball. Maybe you couldn't see that watching at home.
