| I really liked the look of Tommy Lee when he first came on to the scene. Maybe he got ideas above his station and fell away a bit? Anyhow, it's only fair to give him a fair crack before deciding he's a wrong 'un.

| Quote: brearley84 "could be abit of shrewd business by the giants this....
wood not exactly the next best thing we have seen as a youngster coming through falls into the same bracket as mcnally, carlisle..... compared with lomax, gaskell etc.
lee is more experienced and brown has seen qualities in him which he thinks he can bring out.... and whos to say he cant...did it with patrick, lunt.
also lee has a kicking game (7th in the 'kicks in general play' table for super league), which will take the pressure off brough is they play together...would say robbo and lunt ahead of him at the moment.
squad taking shape'"
Only one problem there, most of those kicks were crap (ie straight down the full backs throat or way too hard and went dead in goal with no one having a chance to get on the end of them).

will fit in well with brown and robbos kicking then which also leaves alot to be desired at times, obviously kear though lee was half decent at kicking in play otherwise he wouldnt of done so much

Nope - he just didn't have any other option; Lee covered at SH for us last season and was, for the most part, out of his depth and struggling.
Lee has polarised opinions amongst WTW fans and I'm in the 'give the kid a chance, he's been played out of position' camp; that said, the one thing that everyone will agree on is that his kicking game is absolutely dreadful - I'll excuse your bitter rants on our board and offer you some helpful advice; Tommy Lee is not the answer to a perceived gap in your kicking game - you're barking up the wrong tree.

Actually I thought his passing game was even worse than his kicking!

tommy lee is a back up player for us incase one of our star players gets injured, brings abit more experience instead of having to use a youngster who isnt upto the task... not exactly banking on him to come into the team and start kicking for us..brough does that for us very well thanks.

| Lee's the kind of player you wish was on the other side. He'll need to improve a lot to get into your starting line up!

| i will reserve judgement on this signing till about August next year !!!
The fact that the last 2 years have seen him released from the bottom 2 clubs in the competition doesn't exactly fill me with sigins of it been a good sigingin....but if NB sees quality in him then we have to give him a chance.

Probably doesn't care cos won't be here after next season and someone else picks up all the e of these long contracts and lack of youngster progressing as they should be.
I know about Leroy, Jermaine and Michael.
What happened to the likes of Wood, McNally, Carlille, Hemingway, Lopag etc etc.
Why sign Lee when we let Keal go, we need to start bringing some youngsters thru, we signed Eaden from Cas hope 3 years down the line we are not shipping him out to Wakey.
Saints seem to have got it right with the kids coming thru, not heard that they have released many of their youngsters. Most are already in the 1st team there.
Really dissalusioned at present

in less than one page - outstanding work.
It's good that you're trying to put a positive spin on this for the sake of your club and all, but to virtually everyone else, it looks like a bizarre signing and far from 'shrewd business' by the Giants. What with Luke George taking up residence on your treatment table and Tommy Lee with his kicking game but not actually kicking, I can't work out what the heck's going on.

| Kid with some potential moves out,T.Lee moves in.Didn't this last season prove that back up players with some first grade experience can't get the job done.

| i see Tommy Lee as a bit of a misfit who may come good. On the last 2 seasons he wouldn't even get in our team imo, but Brown must see something in him. He's only 23 and he was a member of the FC team who were a whisker away from Old Trafford a few years ago.

| Tommy Lees ball distribution is outstanding - if you like to recieve a ball 2 foot above your head or on the half volley. Best news weve had in him going - absolutely and utterly amazed he has signed for you i thought he was destined for oldham or doncaster etc.
