He brings far more to the table than just the 80 mins on the pitch though even he'd admit, friday weren't his best game

| to run a line and take a ball on the move which Gilly does very well is not just about the run but also the pass.... and with our playmakers being in out and injured so much maybe the timing is just off..... or gillys is too..... but he has generally had a good season in my book..

| He is a class act Gilly.
Lovely fella who IMO is doing a good job for you guys.
I know I have only seen the games on TV and he has never looked out of place.
I have no doubt someone will reply and say the rest of the games he has played he is bloody awful.

Only if they are being untruthful.

| He is the Giants leading tackler again this year averaging nearly 28 per game. In comparison to last year the only aspect of his play that has got worse is he has made a few more mistakes. However all other aspects of his play are just as good as last year.
Even the number of errors he has made (19 in 19 games) is well below that of many others in the Giants squad.
I cannot believe anyone who has the first idea about rugby can single Gilmour out for criticism.

| Personally I am a big fan of Lee Gilmours, he is a class act in attack and defence and I am certainly glad we have him for another two years. He is one of our most consistent players and very rarely misses a game through injury which is a credit to him when you consider how many second rowers we get through per season with injuries.

| Every team needs a 'Lee Gilmour' IMO, especially when you have lots of younger players like we do, his knowledge, experience and the fact that he's done it all in the game can only help the younger players...on and off the pitch.

| I have just had a look on the Super League site at his Saints record to see if he was producing better stats when he was in his prime and what i actually found his his stats now are every bit as impressive as they were for Saints. His performance levels have not dropped off at all.
The only difference is he is having to do loads more tackling than he has ever had to do at Saints probably because of the amount of possession the Giants give away.
So if the Giants could keep possession better and Gilmour was doing less tackling we might see even more from him in attack.

| I really do wonder if you see the same game I do! Gilly made one error all game, Simpson was coming back after months of injury and played in several positions in one game and did ok. We are not making the yards- that's the problem.

I thought Simpson looked good last night, playing in a position he doesn't naturally play in returning after injury - despite all that he looked one of the better players last night. I also thought Grix was solid in defence and Fa'alogo was class again. A second row of Kirmond and Fa'alogo would work well, though I didn't think there were too many issues with Gilmour's performance, he struggled to get up after he got up ended and slammed - but a lot of players would.
