Can't see Wakey avoiding the drop, broken promises and going into administration have given the powers that be the perfect reason to get shut. Personally i'd get rid of Crusaders and Quins, i fail to see what these 2 teams exactly add to the game, both these teams have had more than their fair share of financial troubles, 1 of them was involved in irregular player registrations but the powers that be continually play down these indescretions and go out of their way and bend over backwards for them in the name of "expansion" if these 2 so called "expansion teams" are the future of the game then "god help us".

Maybe the SKY money.

No expansion, no selling SKY boxes, no SKY sponsorship, NO PROFESSIONAL RUGBY LEAGUE. Crusaders and Harlequins are more important than 12 of the 14 SL teams.

Arguing about losing Harlequins and a Welsh team in favour of a " Heartland" team is the most pointless discussion in modern RL

Now insert any other 2 teams in there, the majority will fit the rest of the sentence.

There's more chance of the RFL getting rid of Leeds and Wigan than Crusaders and Quins......it makes you wonder how much say in the franchise SKY TV have !!

wakey are going by the looks of it, and as they are near the bottom and just out of administration that gives super league the excuse they needed to get rid, but they are certainly no worse than crusaders who have very few fans, just out of admin, illegal players in the past few years and you can hardly call wrexham expansion into wales, its only 30 miles from widnes

wales isnt that far fella, expansion into cardiff is ok( not that i agree with it), expansion into wrexham is not worth bothering as the crowds have proved

Sky did make it quite clear to the RFL that they wanted SL to have a wider geographical scope than it had. They did not mention Quins but you do not have to be a genius to work out that the 3 clubs which make up a geographical expansion are Crusaders, Quins and Catalans.

Catalans IMHO add a lot to SL, crusaers give us a foothold in Wales and Quins are the geographical expansion.

There is no reason why in the future that Quins will not be allowed to fail but it would surely occur in conjunction with the rise of the Skolars or another expansion team.

The crowds at Wrexham started off quite well. Things only went downhill when they lost all their players and they started having financial problems. There is huge potential in North Wales, unfortunately those who control the club do not seem to buy into it. It will be yet another wasted RL opportunity.

By your reasoning Charlie, id sack off every club with under a 1000 gate each week and most of these clubs are crap after 100 years of having a go, ourselves included in that.

widnes didnt get in because wakey are going out. widnes got in because the rl says they are expanding super league. but if the likes of wakey and cas dont meet the criteria. im still sure halifax wont get in as they will keep it at 13 team super league

i arent saying that fella so stop putting words into my mouth lol... the rfl/ super league seem to pick and chose the expansion teams very lightly as gateshead did ok i believe , top 6? and gates of around 6000 but were swallowed up to save hull fc, where as crusaders seem to get help in their quest, even after employing illegal workers and going into admin
