| It was frustrating, we didn't show enough urgency around the PTB in attack and Wigan's scramble was excellent.
Our 3/4's just didn't click second half and the bounce of the ball just evaded us on a few occasions.
We have to learn from this.

| Sorry, but I really believe that you can't go into big games like this leaving out as many players as we did from last week.
Plus, when so many key players have poor games we stood no chance.
Wigan dominated the ruck and slowed down the play better than us. When we tried it we got penalised.
Oh, and I'm not being bitter with this, but the number of forward passes was ridiculous!
Wigan were the better team, so well done to them.

| That's the thing though, we had planty of chances to score tries but a combination of dropped balls, poor options and great defence stymied us. In the first half Fa'alogo sliced through and no-one followed him. Cudjoe made a break and passed right when he should have gone left, cudjoe dropped the ball in a great attacking position, Gilmour lost the ball inches from the line. Those are all chances you need to be converting against a side like Wigan.

| Aye, no doubt we created and fluffed chances which then affected our composure.
We were caught cold at the start of each half and it gave Wigan something to focus on for the second half there when they got that lead. We flaked a little under the pressure.

| Wigan were awesome in defence and with 6 players out too! Team to beat this season but I'm not to concerned as SL is played over many rounds. This will give NB an idea how we are progressing against the big boys and I think he will learn a lot from this.

| To be fair - though I'm stuffed to think of a reason why I should be - the Giants didn't play "badly", IMHO, tonight.
Both defenses were brutal throughout tonight, although I think the Warriors probably were just that little bit more so. That and the fact that the Giants didn't take there opportunities - or rather took the wrong option on a couple of occasions - was theonly real difference.

| As much as I hate losing, especially to Wigan I thought it was a real battle tonight and minus some dodgy calls, poor errors and the fact that we weren't at our best it was a good advert for the game! Wigan's defence on their own line was faultless, they dug deep and always carried the more potent threat going forward. O'Donnell and Fa'alogo are really clicking now and you couldn't have asked for any more from our forwards tonight. Eorl looks so much better coming off the bench as an impact player, he looked really pumped up for it. Unfortunately though our backs let us down, apart from Grix who was magnificent once again. I really can't even remember who our fullback before him was! Some of the lads looked tired, maybe playing on Sunday and again on Friday against a terrific side was just asking too much. Special mention for Robbo, great to see him out there doing his thing and I thought he was ace. I'm not too down about this defeat, Wigan fully deserved it.

| Lunts penalty killed the game IMO. Special mention to O'Donnell and Faalongo, they were superb for you guys.

I don't think Lunt has been right so far this season. I'm so glad to see Robinson back in the team, we have missed him and it will ease the burden of Lunt considerably. Wigan were great and the support you gave them was first class, hats off to you.

| O'Donnell is a top player. One of the best backrowers in the league!

| I thought Wigan's defence was outstanding tonight, they proved they still are the team to beat and have kicked on from last year. Thought the packs both battled well for the full 80 mins but our back line fell short of the mark to beat Wigan's defence. The difference tonight really was Wigan's ability to soak up the pressure and then take their chances when they arrived.
Top 3 for Giants: Grix, Fa'alogo & Griffin
Top 3 for Wigan: Leuluai, Hoffman & Tuson
Was dissappointed with Cudjoe tonight, didn't appear to have his head in the game unfortunately.

| For me it looked to go though Gilmour's hands as the ball didn't really seem to change direction.
50/50 call - No clear reason not to give it and advantage goes with the attacking team so it was a try.
