Huddersfield were a decent team in the late 60s then nosedived from division 1 to division 4 in four seasons if I recall !
I stand corrected but are they the only club to have acheived this remarkable feat ?

i am sure they had 2 season in division 3 in the mid seventies rather than going straight down |

yes,sorry mate you're quite correct - they managed to survive two seasons in division 3
they won the old second division in the late 60s with some decent players - Cherry,Dobson,Nicholson & Worthington etc but struggled when they lost some of their best players to 'bigger' teams (ie Cherry to LUFC etc) - but I do recall David Lawson,a great keeper who saved the day for you on many occasions before being sold to Everton - that seemed to start the decline of your team ?
Just a piece of useless information - Lawsons first game for Everton was against Norwich City in 1972 and I was at the match,behind the goal at the Barclay end - that was NCFCs first game in the old first division - a memorable day for the carrot crunchers... |

as a yorkshireman it has to be leeds, but i also folllow glasgow rangers..
and i have a soft spot for afc wimbledon and hartelpool unted for some reson i cannot remember anymore lol

think carlisle and northampton have also gone 1-4 in consecutive seasons..... |

for me I was a Scarborough FC supporter until the bitter end I now support Scarborough Athletic
It's simple its where I was born and we moved over here when i was young but I am a seasider at heart

Cop out that just admit it you're a West yorkshire Glory Supporter .
I get called that because I support Bradford at Rugby and Town at Football. I used to counter that by saying "but I support Huddersfield Town" now I say "but I support Bradford Bulls".
