| Ferguson is a good capture by the Mighty Giants, (and maybe murphy to follow) this does take us up near our salery cap (wakey thats the most you should spend prior to not signing any more players)
I was a little worried with only 2 major signings in the off season but 2 younge established SL players and with the way Keal played on saturday i really do think we have the strength in depth to take a title this year. well done Giants and well done to O'Hara's for a shrewd bit of business.

| Quote: Dettoriman "Under Nathan Brown, Dale Ferguson will do very well, Maybe he has slipped a little in the last 12 months, But tbh. So have Wakefield.
He is a quality player, And has lots of potential, A good signing to pick up on the cheap
Good business'"
Ferguson looked brilliant when he first came onto the scene. I haven't seen much development in him since then unfortunately but i put that down to John Kear. Under Brown i think he'll flourish and prove to be an asset to you guys. He ouses potential

| Quote: Ceejames "if it is shame then why not
a club that has provided a p*ss poor stadium for years. One with appalling toilet facilities and crumbling open air stands. [A dreadful way to treat fans]
- a club that was taken to court for falling to honour player contracts [A dreadful way to treat players]
- a club that will fail to pay honest hard working people who provided products and services [A dreadful way to treat suppliers]
- a club that is likely to 'default' on taxes of £300k+. At a time when there are cuts in local services this is truly shameful. [A dreadful way to treat the pubic at large]
The administrator is obliged to try and recoup these shameful debts...so players are available.
The Giants / Hull and maybe a few other clubs are offering a few players a stable medium term future with better coaching , conditioning and rehab. That is something to be proud of.Run along.'"
Quote: Ceejames "you need to take a step back and actually look at the facts.
Maybe Glover has asked for some players to be sold to reduce their salary overheads and to get them to cash flow operating levels that match the attendance - otherwise you'd be going from frying pan to fire?
Maybe these players are payments for debts outstanding?
Lucky for you that some clubs are willing to take these players off your hands - you should be thanking us to ensuring your continued survival and ability to operate at the level you should have been at for the last two years.
Have you been on Hull FC, Catalans and Quins forums stating the same thing or have you just reserved this privilege for us?'"
You never miss an opportunity to have a bitch about Wakey do you, barred off the VT and Wakey boards, on a final warning on the Cas board you have even been advised on here to shall we say cool it all in your crusade in your war on Wakey , the thread is about Ferguson and not the rubbish you are once again peddling about Wakey, a simple opinion like the one at the bottom of your post would have been sufficient, or god forbid you could even learn from the wadski poster above and try to be a tad more diplomatic it does have its rewards, you never know oneday somebody might learn to like and respect you hth

| I feel sorry for Wake though. At least a 4 point deduction [probably] and now losing their top players, the future is even bleaker than before. I hope the new owner puts some money in and they can rebuild - albeit in a division below - as we have had to do [many times!]. Even Fax are bouncing back.
As has been said, if we hadn't signed Ferguson another SL club would have.

| decent signing i reckon looks to have plenty of potential, under the giants set up he should kick on to become a top class forward, i understand where wakey fans are coming from regards us taking there young players but thats sport im afraid, happened to the giants before when bridge and gleeson were cherry picked by the top clubs. but having said that ferguson could always have said no and remained at wakey like murphy has i believe.

| dont know much about ferguson but seems he has bags of potential which brown will hopefully bring out
wonder when he will play?! when will simpson play?!! so many options!
as for wakey fans moaning, well we have been through losing our players too when being relegated from super league...and as other posters have mentioned you obv have been spending beyond your means so need to operate at what your spending can afford!

| Welcome to DF, and i hope Jammer is soon on the mend,
with DF now a giant i do think this will help create more competition for the outside backs, the 2nd row is more competative within the giants ranks then any ther super league club, we can now boast a strong competative back line, with 12 players in the first team squad (not including Grix / E Hodgson / Mcnally at fullback) all hoping to get the nod on the 4 available starting shirts.

| Quote: Ceejames " Over the weekend we have read on the wakey website and direct quotes in the press about a new owner. Even that the new owner had addressed the players! Now we discover the administrator is still the 'acting owner'. No wonder a young player like Ferguson wants to go to a stable , well coached club. I would sugar coat this paragraph but I lack diplomatic skills
There you are, a simple quote even from a simple person thats all it should have taken, I notice from your reply you did not go to Cardiff at the weekend, just an observation.

You observe wrong old lad. Try not to draw conclusions - you have no talent for it. I enjoyed both days in Cardiff. Do try and keep up.
Are you going to question wildcatowl for prattling on about 'shame' on a thread about Ferguson?

I feel sorry for some of the childish crap we have to endure on here Ivor in the name of discussion !
Like Hodgson - hes left one club - and joined another for whatever reasons .
Its happened - and it`ll be a good move for someone and a bad move for others .
Time will tell at season end !
Now lets just play the game the best we can each week and get on with it
We really cant influence either ours or Wakeys future
We can only support the Giants the best we can and Wakey fans the same for the wildcats. thas it !
