rlSporting Liferl although it reads a bit strange.....(Batley) they probably just used cut and paste from an article from last year.
Quote: Danril "Giants youngster Jermaine McGillvary was the star man, with two tries. The academy product has recently signed a three-and-a-half-year contract after impressing on loan at Batley this season.'"

| most of the reports suggest we have offered a huge amount of money. I wonder if we will be able to cover it with wild, Hodgsons, drews and Fatz salary. If so will we be able to get Patten.
Will there be any more arrivals and may we see some more departures.? Horne?
We had to let Kirmond go for the season so we could get Brough. Will Kirmond come back?

Luke Patten is being allowed to leave because the Bulldogs know he is finished, he has been woeful this season.

I believe we have still one spare place as quota rule for 2011 is same for foreign players as 2010.
Drew, Fatz and Hodgson leaving.

| Whilst excited about the idea of Luke O'Donnell being signed i feel concerned about Patten. Comments about him seem very mixed and at his age would he really offer us anything.
I hope Grix has a blinder tonight and we see him as being our next full back.

| As for Pattern i have watched him play a few times on tv this year and if im honest i am not happy that we are linked with him. A very average fullback who is just looking for loads of money before he calls it a day. I would much rather prefer we have a English lad mainly Elliot Hodgson, he may not be the best at the moment but there is no chance of relegation, give the lad a chance.

Elliot has been playing on the wing at U20 level most recently.

How has he been getting on?
I notice that matt Bowen from NQ Cowboys is out of contract, he would be a better aussie import and a good full back.

| If Grix goes well there in the next few weeks then why not have him at FB? He can play the role in much the same way as Brett does and if he's safe under the bomb then I'd say let him have the role. We'll see what he's like under the bomb in the next few games. If Leroy were a bit safer under the bomb then I'd say he could have it but he's just too twitchy. Once he learns to time his passes better I reckon he could be a top drawer attacking centre instead.
