That was the best try ever

Burst through the first line of defence ,sprinted upfield ,just the fullback to beat Fartown players either side did he pass did he hell ,chipped it over the fullack caught it on the full and planted the ball down between the sticks.
It was that goods i did a little wee in my pants

who remembers bob jowett's 'wonder' try against whitehaven/workington ? in '89 i think - length of the field and from one wing to the other - thats how i seem to remember it ,might have been less spectacular at the time but Bob used to get stick off some of the fans and that try certainly shut them up !!

I was sat in the stand, so if it was the one where he scored to my left on the terrace side then yes i remember it That was a reet tash he had too

he finished by going over in the corner at the terrace side i think ! it was a while ago my memory aint that good

aye i remember that lot,we used to hang around Brighouse and Rastrick with the Charlotte's and their mates - i was a programme seller,ballboy,turnstile operator, terrace sweeper, and i think my bro even ran the scoreboard once with one of Keith Burhouse's lads - happy days indeed
