not bad, knew they would do their own when they saw loads of them being worn.......only 3 years too late, hope lots buy one but i have a feeling they missed the boat and most people who wanted a retro shirt already bought one form elsewhere.

also i notice it is made by kooga - which then begs the question - why couldn't they have done one sooner as a replica shirt ?

I've always thought a traditional shirt would be a good idea but at least this way, my money is going to the club and not a back street seller

I believe someone was informed the club were going ahead with this but couldn't wait, sort of a revolving door now, could have sold these and raised the money for a half back/increased offer to keep Adam Walker/kept price of season tickets down. (you get what I mean)

I wouldnt quite call the Ex-players Association a 'back street seller' but each to their own opinion !!

The club have had plenty of opportunity to produce these.
I still think it should have been done with a small booklet attached to the label with a little bit about the history of the shirt ie from Fartown to the Giants

The fact that supporters have to take it into their own hands to produce their own merchandise because the club have not done it properly is the clubs fault NOT the supporters fault.

I still have one of Smilers hoodies which is an excellent piece of kit and far exceeds anything the club have done recently.

Still got mine too...........it will be getting its annual outings soon, agree with you about the standard, excellent quality, as for the dig at the fans for not waiting, i personally told RT and others at a fans forum thingy a couple of years back that a retro shirt would sell like hotcakes, its took them 3-4 years to produce these instead preferring to sell the utter garbage we have had to endure for the last few seasons - there was a gap in the market, the club didnt respond to it, someone else did and only now the club have done these because of the success the associaton have had with their production.

People have been calling for this for years. I have for starters and bought one made by a company in Bradford about 7 years ago because the club didnt do one.

If the club have missed out on sales it's their own fault.

Rodders sold a good few,more than a good few,it was what plenty of fans wanted,
but there are many other folk,who maybe aren't of his acquaintance,who will no doubt buy one out of the shop,so the club should still make some brass from that.

...............and instead of certain posters trying to "score points" it might be fairer if both sides of the coin were shown and a full facts given instead of "one liners"

Its not hard ! - but make the story fit the plot eh?

If its at least given marketing a "prod" and brings some additional revenue to the club -- then we really cant be that bad eh??

And for a so called fan/supporter calling lads who pulled on a shirt, took the knocks, in many cases were "one club players" ,and gave their all on a weekly basis for the club,- "back street traders" - is in my mind a bloody insult and I suspect one they wouldnt say to their face !

Aye, in fairness I don't think these fellows have made a great deal of profit from these ventures (if any). They were undertaken because people wanted them and they had the time and patience to organise it.

Loads of people have asked me about mine!

Just a little "aside" but a pertinent proverb in more ways than one relating to shops/stalls and warehouses!
