| I'll stand up for Murph.
Together with Michael Lawrence he's been the most consistent player over the last couple of years.
Both underrated by fans but not by their teammates.

Murphy has been very good since he's been at the Giants, however, this year he has been our worst player by far.... Hopefully he can pick his form back up..
In my opinion Bruno has been our best player this year.

| Murphy was my favourite player last year by a mile, but I'm concerned or him this year - he looks a shadow of the player he was last season.
I think he is carrying a significant injury. Anybody else noticed that he leaves the warm-up about 10 minutes before everyone else? Why would this be - injections?
All that can affect confidence which we know in turn can affect form.
BTW, I think Taai is our most consistent performer this year

Look at gerry he had issues a couple of years ago look at him now one of the best wings in the game'"
yes loose forward could be an option for connor but i fear he is just turning into a utility player that can fill in a few positions, master of none.

| Quote: willo109 "We sign good players and turn them into bad ones. Bailey and Broughton are two that come to mind that were never given a fair crack of the whip and in my opinion, and when they did play we never played to their strenghts. Broughton's speed was never utilised , Murphy is a good honest pro but no-one can tell me he is of super league quality? Which other team would he get into, and thats not having a bash at Murphy , its giving an opinion. Bailey was a ball playing loose forward, not, nor never would be a hooker so why play him there? Huby offloaded for fun at Cas, can probably count on two hands the offloads he's done while he's here. Its all down to the coaching and instructions given out . So with that in mind , me thinks it time to call a cab for Anderson.'"
murphy not super league quality? stopped reading after that comment.
oh and bailey could have been great at loose forward for us but he was injured most of the time , torn bicep. he got a few games back end of season when fit but was poor.
broughton was ousted by murphy and rightly so on the form he was in last season.

Murphys as a winger is not super league quality, tell me which other team hed get in that position? ? And yes agreed he was in better form then Broughton but it was more his defence then attacking prowess. You need matchwinnerss/game breakers on the wing. Its not Murphy bashing , just my opinion oops im sorry no one but you can have an opinion and if its voiced its quickly shot down. Ill just slink back into the woodwork and leave it up to you .

| Murphy my favourite player last year. If he's not giving 110% then I would say he's injured in some way.

| Murphy is 100% super league quality. There is absolutely no doubt about it... He's struggling for form at the minute and is definitely standing out as an under performer. But this happens to all players at some point in there careers. I'm sure he is disappointed with himself and is working extra hard to put things right. I doubt his poor form will last much longer.
And I will agree with Brearley regarding Taai, rapira and Leroy... Have to throw Jerry in there too and Bruno.
It's playing as a team that is our main problem, individually we're not too bad..

| personally I have my doubts about trying to convert a halfback with pace into a full back. Someone had that great idea with a halfback on the verge of playing at international level and it was just about curtain down for the lad He too had pace--and of similar build and whilst there wasnt a lot wrong with his tackling technique with the big fellas at pace it was all too often try time!
As Isaid in another post Hodson was a "special" at full back and although fairly slight framed his tackling technique for his size was flawless
i get fed up of trying to convert players signed whilst playing in a position theyve learned their trade to different roles Just my opinion
So i hope the recent signing of this lad with potential isnt wasted by experimentation
Let him settle in with us where he got noticed and then see how he goes
Saw bruno in a cup semi at Salford afterhe`d been tried at centre and wingman playing as he does now in the 2nd row Quite honestly the poor fella didnt seem to know where he should postion himself. Good as he is now in that role I would have preferred to keep his pace (with his then size) and tackled as he does to close that space down --much as we`d like Connor to do now iot apperas on here
think some times when ive seen the team sheet they put the positions in a hat! - and its spot the permutation!
bulletproof vest at the ready!!

It's always a risk, to do something like that. However, it worked with Sam Tomkins at Wigan, and with Gregg McNally at Leigh, albeit a step down from SL. Actually, it was you guys who had started the process with Gregg - so it could well work with Ryan. He has outstanding pace (for the Championship) and the vision to be there when breaks occur. His 'problem' at half back, has been that he hasn't yet developed the skill range normally expected for the position, and tended to 'disappear' in some games. I hope he succeeds for you, wherever he plays.
