Don't need to worry on that front- I can't ever go unless it's school holidays.

Wanted to go to Perpignan - Canet beaches really ,a couple of weeks before we hit Jamaica but can't be bothered with it now,all the car hire shi'ite and accomodation.

Will the RFL wake up to the situation regarding fans getting out to Perpignan?

Point being Perpignan is no more than a 'long weekend' for RL fans on top of holidays. It's become a difficult place to get to.

French RL obviously don't give a flying one for any inconvenience to English fans.

RFL need to call French RL out on this,they don't seem to care so why should we care about them.

Catalans at home is the one home game no one looks forward to,the French don't care less when they come to the north of england,so why should we care anything about them any more.

Can't see the problem getting there - part of the fun's in the travelling whether flying to new places and getting the train (there's plenty of cheap routes in), or hiring a car.
On second thoughts, following last year's nerve racking exploits in hire car, get the train!!
Me & our lass are thinking about making a week of it, sailing to Spain from Weymouth and chugging along across the Pyrenees in the 'Love Bus' to Perpignan then up to Brittany for the return ferry.
Saw a decent parking spot in the town square outside Bar Britz!!

We're all on tight budgets! I'm planning a week's holiday with no accommodation, train or plane fares but just the diesel and ferry costs - plus the time off work.
Not exactly the height of luxury living in a converted plumbers van squatting in lay-byes!!

No more on a tighter one than me pal and i manage it every year....still don't understand what you think is so difficult about getting there.

Not everyone can take time off work or take kids out of school-so a direct flight helps in that respect!

Of course it does, but even without direct flights it's still only 1-2.5 hours extra travel - hardly a killer !!
