Yuk- Im not sure driving along the M62 to Huddersfield 3 hours before the game is better preparation!!!!!

A 45 minute journey is not exactly a hardship, they're not a Pennine League side. I'm not sure how relevant it is if they've done enough preparation in the week prior to the game. If they'd won I don't think anyone would care. But I suppose at times like these, as much as anything else they've got to be SEEN to be cutting no corners and maybe this looks a little like they are?

Or maybe it's just a case of people will find anything to beat the club with at the moment ...like was said if we were winning it wouldn't have even entered anyone's mind !

When I was playing at Oldham even the reserve team had to meet in Oldham to travel... When we played vs Batley I had to travel to Oldham from Huddersfield... You're a team so should travel as a team... Things like this are worrying to me. If you have never played rugby it's probably hard to understand.

Fair enough but my point is why isn't something like this a worry or a problem when we're winning and doing ok ??

What difference does it make- even when they are on the coach together they'll all sit with their phones out anyway!!!

Its called UNITY and if the head coach cant be ar$ed then what example is that giving to everyone else.

Ok...I will look closely in future ...especially when we start winning again and see if this happens and if it will get the same kind of treatment ...like I said anything to beat the club with !!

One of the lads could tell a joke in the changing rooms before a game and that would get criticised for being a bad thing to do ...they should be acting serious not telling jokes and laughing etc etc ...

I'm not sure how asking some players to make an extra journey costing them time and money is classed as unity.
Perhaps the decision was made due to it being worse preparation as it could be that having to travel messes up when they need to eat /have protein shakes or whatever.
I think this is being blown out of proportion, probably happened regularly in previous seasons and as Daz said wouldn't have even been mentioned given another outcome.

I've no real opinion on the matter, but to think that personal expense should be taken into account is ridiculous. This is their job and they are professionals.

I would have thought that all being together would be good for team building but maybe the opposite is true if there is a bad egg in there somewhere?

And it would be no different if travelling to an away game in Lancashire, so individual prep wouldn't be affected any differently

Why is it ridiculous? Why should it cost them unnecessarily? maybe -given it was the week after a busy Easter weekend the decision was made to allow players time to have lunch with their families! If it was a game in Lancashire it's still different- they wouldn't be making an unnecessary journey! Whatever the reason it isnt a reason for our table position!!!

This happens all the time, other clubs do it - no big deal.
