| If Wigan finish fourth and play Hudds i can't see anything other than a Hudds win, so let them finish 4th, but who would you pick in the club call in a choice of Wigan and Leeds?

| I would choose Wigan for club call and save beating Leeds for Old Trafford in an all Yorkshire Grand Final, cos none of them there Lancashire teams can.

| Quote FLYINGPROP="FLYINGPROP"The league leaders shield means eff all.
Only to the teams that haven't won it that season or to arrogant fools, to me it means your the best team of the season cos its given to the team with most points in the league and who have been consistent week by week
Hope we go onto win the GF cos if we do the LLS still means means a hell of a lot more to me than a money making 4 game play off (the Challenge Cup is the knock out comp)
I have stated this numerous times that I would rather win the LLS than GF but unless we do no one would believe me but IMO the Champions are the ones who win the league as in most sporting competitions I know of!!'"
Absolutely agree with this

You do realise that for that to happen you will have had to lose to Warrington then beaten Saints? (assuming Saints are 5th).

| Firstly the achievement for Huddersfield of getting into the top 4 is the key one, and congratulations to them for doing this. This is the real achievement.
"Winning" the LLS means zip.
The rules of the competition ensure this. For this reason you cannot say "it's the reward for being the most consistent team/best team over the season" etc etc
The reality is that teams do not go all out to win the LLS because the structure of the competition means that it's not necessary to do so.
SL is all about a knockout competition at the end of the regular rounds.
If Huddersfield can make it to the GF or even win it, then this will be despite finishing 1st after the regular season, not on account of it.

If we had Club call with Leeds finishing 3rd it wouldn't work as we would've beaten Wigan and they'd be the lowest top 4 loser and play the higher placed 5-8 winner assuming it's Saints.

Are we in a timewarp?
Huddersfield winning the LLS means ZIP to you. It means much more to us. 81 years since we've finished top.
Your bonfire pi$$ing is futile.

you get more cash the higher up the table you are, think its 50k for topping the league
then more cash from whatever money is generated from the play offs

Spot on - to fans whose club have won things regularly it mean nothing, to us it means everything, the world to our club - it may be a stepping stone to further trophies in years to come but for now it is the 1st bit of Silverware for the club to build on. You can bang on all you like, all of you, about it meaning nothing but it will fall on deaf ears, we aren't interested - ITS AN AWARD FOR DOING THE BEST !.
For years we had the you've never won anything crap thrown at us, well now we are on the brink of winning something we get ...ah but that doesn't mean anything......NO ONE AT THIS CLUB GIVES 2 HOOTS WHAT ANYONE ELSE THINKS IT MEANS.
