| Quote from Wane is actually:
Wane said: “Rovers made it tough for us and I knew they would because they have been playing well of late.
“I found a few of the refereeing decisions somewhat baffling both for and against us but we got a win and that’s what matters.
“The players are an honest bunch and they knew at half-time we had to improve. We will certainly have to be at our best against the Giants.
“Huddersfield have plenty of quality in their ranks and they have played well this year.
“There have been times this season when we have been busted through injury – it’s been the same for all clubs – but we have kept going.

I guess you have just passed the invention test. Ever thought of a career in the tabloids?
As for this weeks game I think it has the potential to be a cracker. I think your pack is stronger than ours which will probably be the difference. Brough always seems to have a great game against us too. I worry about the Ref as with Childs it has a chance of being over run with penalties.
Genuine question: you look odds on to finish in the top 2. How do you rate your chances in the play offs? You have a strong side on paper and on the pitch but relatively little experience of big games. To be honest I'm expecting a Leeds & Warrington final again. If it's not to be us I'd like to see a new name on some silverware.

| Whoever loses on Friday could well end up third overall. Warrington have a couple of tough games but Catalan seem to be in free fall and the brown affect will see smiths side win against saints. As to how we will go in the playoffs- I think we are still a halfback from winning the GF.

If we avoid Warrington we'll win the Grand Final no problems
Seriously, we need to go into every play-off game without fear and play our usual game on not freeze like we have in the past in the big games.

we had one good time of it in the play offs a few years back, knocked warrington out and was about 10mins away from beating saints to reach the grand final! other years have been poor though.
warrington seem to be out bogey side, dont fear anyone after them especially at home.
would love to get to the grand final.
hope we dont have to do it the hard way from 3rd, yes i know leeds have but i feel at home we are pretty much unbeatable!

| Millward on SL show was quite damming about the giants, says our top players aren't good enough, and will fail in the big games.
He thinks Wigan will batter us down the wings on Friday, and his face when Jamie Peacock said he's going for a Giants win, he looked like someone had just snogged his wife !
PA get the lads to watch that and there's all the motivation you need

| I saw that from Millward and he's clearly spouting his usual rubbish. I did agree with Jamie Peacocks comments though about until we win games when the pressure is on it's difficult to say the Giants will win any silverware.
The issue isn't talent (although we clearly need another HB and there's always room for improvement) but more mentality. The big games we've won (Saints semi, Warrington play-offs) are when we've been underdogs. When we've been given a good chance of the winning a big game (like we have on Friday) the players don't seem to have the belief they can actually win - Warrington QF being a prime example.
I think Friday's game is massive. We have to win this game if the players will have an confidence they can do anything in the Play-Offs.

I agree that the Giants need to learn how to play well in pressure games consistently and the game is massive in terms of mentality to go on and win some silverware this season.
I'm not sure why they need for another half back though? They're the third best offensive team overall (home and away) in the league, 11 pts behind Warrington and 8 pts behind Wigan. The next best is Leeds and they're 131 pts being the Giants.
Interesting stat: The Giants are the third best attacking team away, but Wigan aren't in the top five for attacking at home. Wigan do, however, have the best defensive record at home with the Giants having the second best defensive record away.
