To be fair we have improved season on season, we've come off the rails somewhat and god knows why, but lets be fair, we are 4th still. I'd hoped for a good cup run but it didn't happen

Now let's see if Nathan can fix things in the league.

Defence was pathetic in the first half. Sad to say summed up by Jermaine's missed tackles. Only robbo, Kyle wood Grix came out well. Attack was pitiful, crabbing across the pitch most of the time. Did we break a tackle?

Just to put a dampener on things wardle came out to the bus on crutches. Thought kirmond played well at centre!

Out enthused .................................again...........story of our season now i'm afraid !!

must admit i didnt think we were out enthused or that bad today, overall i thought it was a good game with 2 committed sides, 4 trys each summed it up, cas better by a whisker maybe, better goalkicking won the game.the way we celebrated after each try didnt look like a poor team spirit, when we lost at cas earlier in the year we were far worse than today to me when we were supposedly a better team, get a grip to me accept we lost a close game on goal kicks.

If brough would have got those kicks it would have been a travesty! We certainly did not deserve the win today!

Well it's closer to his original position on the wing than prop forward!!!!

In the forwards Eorl & Griff ran with power.

Robbo & Wood did a lot of probing.

Grix tried ut should have passed more - perhaps he knew that if he did sod all would have happened.

Hodgy played his usual competent game.

Jerry didn't get the ball much - as usual these days.

Some players were downright awful - I'm not going to name them in public.

In one sense it was just like watching J Sharp's game plan - one man drive down the middle. Compare that to Saturday when both teams fluidly passed the ball along the line - even in defence.

Never mind watching a repeat of our game, the players should spend ALL their time watching repeats of Wire v Wigan - & I'm a devout Wigan-hater!!.

To suggest players are not putting effort in is ridiculous. They tried as hard as they could yesterday. What they are lacking is confidence both in attack and defence. We are failing to build pressure due to taking wrong options and dropping too much ball. I feel that when they are behind this gets worse as they start to panic.
I also do not believe we are having the bounce of the ball. Twice they put in kicks that looked to be going dead but at the last minute span back into play helping them keep us under pressure.
Twice IMO we had 40/20's. Unfortunatly the ref and touch judges did not agree. These decision can change games and when you are not playing well you do not seem to get any of the 50/50 calls.
They do need to work on line speed and goal line defence. Also they are letting the opposition make too many yards after the initial collison as we are not stopping their players legs from driving forward.
In attack we will impriove if we are more patient and play our sets out. It showed the odd time we did get down to Castleford end how easy it was to score but too often through mistakes and the wrong option we failed to do that.
Using a player of Ferguson's size as a first hit up battering ram is totally unfair on him and he is bound to struggle he needs to be running wider out and the big men should be taking the drives.
I do believe though if we can grind out a win the confidence will return and we can get the season back on track.
