| And already our potential away support is down with Giants fans choosing to go and enjoy Towns big day
having to travel to Hull for a 12.30 kick off was bad enough but now Town in a final on the same day , great planning !!

| Well done town, let's hope they can finally win promotion.
As for the Hull game a bit of a triple whammy really; early KO, Sky and now town in a promotion final - can't see many making it across unfortunately, which is a pity as our away support has improved tremendously this season.
If I had the pick of the two, what are sure to be great games, I would be going to the Giants game as the facilities at Hull (as far as Super League goes) are second to none and the atmosphere is always good, plus Rugby League over Football any day of the week. I always enjoy going across to the KC in particular when we put a weakened squad out in 2009 and crushed them 24-0 (Thorman struggling with some high bombs) as it happens I won't be watching sod all that weekend as I am moving house

agree
short memories, they dont give a damn about the giants, it wasnt long ago they were putting posters up about ken davy round the town
dont see how town getting promotion would help the giants, it most likely will have the opposite affect..

Because?....
I,m not a town fan, but the more people who have a positive sporting experience at the galpharm cannot be a negative for giants. Plus the more money htfc make , again that helps potential stadium / facilities development.
Think you need to see them as a compliment, not as a rival brearlyIQ ...

| first of all, well done to HTFC and the town fans who post on here im sure they'll have a great day out a the theatre of tourism.
as for us, it's disappointing that the game will be the same day as we play at hull, our away support will be severely diminished as lots of people will go to old trafford instead of the KC,which is understandable but dont help us, just as we have started to get good numbers to away games next sunday will be down to bare bones.
the cynic in me suggests that the sky schedule had been planned in the hope town get to the final so the sky commentators will be all over our poor support without realising that hundreds of potential giants supporters will have gone to manchester for a football final.
maybe our club could try and get the game moved back to it's original friday night slot? though i doubt it.

| Quote Giantscorpio="Giantscorpio"Depends how much of a Giants fan you are. That semi-final when we beat Saints at Warrington was something special.
Not a bad game though for soccer, but for me no where near as exciting as RL.'"
The Atmosphere could only have been beaten by Leeds 2006. Saints comes close, but it was a great game to be at. Of course Rugby is so much better

| With money tight will people decide to watch Town in a higher league than they were than watch the Giants at the top of the highest possible league? Not me though I can't stand the round ball game. How it's so popular i'll never know, it bores me to tears watching full grown men diving on the floor at every opportunity to try and get a free kick. Make them play on broken glass and we'll see how many can stay on their feet then.
