I would rather defend them than straight out condemn them when I don't know them all or their circumstances.

People have their reasons, whether you agree with them or not, and standing in judgement on them wont convince them to attend. It's a waste of time and energy that would be better focussed on what could be done to get them out. And ultimately the crowd was always going to be down, I don't think there's a club in the land that wouldn't see a drop off in attendance for a game like tonights.

i actually thought for a Tuesday night 7pm kick off with about 56 away fans and many people missing due to work, family commitments etc it wasnt that bad a crowd.....dont forget 7/8 years ago we just about got this kind of crowd ona sunday v Bradford or Leeds with 70% away fans !!

Easter weekend/Tuesday night/weather/live on Sky/work/family commitments/families on holidays/etc aren't really good excuses. There were 27,000 at Stoke City last night. The wild fluctuations for some teams are hard to get your head around.
