M1 then as you head towards Chiswick roundabout go up the kew bridge road to Richmond then hit the a 316. The usual route on Twickenham road is a nightmare at the moment. Save you 30 minutes. |

I always go round the M25. I tried through London once & it was an absolute nightmare.
Should hit the 25 slightly after the worst time though!
Can't offer lifts as we'll be down for the RL Varsity the night before [to watch Little Ivor - I know I've mentioned it before!!. [That's on Sky also - I'll have my Giants shirt & scarf on!

May be a few more miles, but rare to get as caught as you can do on the lower end M1.

Luton virtually to Bedford is all 50 mph so agree with Homer cut across on the A43 Northampton to M40 past Silverstone. Safe Journeys
