Pretty much sums up my feelings. Started the season well at 6, got injured and then got shifted around. Did his best at wing but was targetted by teams.

When he did get a chance at 6 he never really looked convincing except Wire (A) and unfortunately was behind Obst & Martin. Could well turn out to be a cracking signing if Brown can get him settled in one spot

now then --tread lightly!!

Apologies I thought you had brought in Drew as your back up hooker and as for Kev Brown I was under the impression his best position is at centre, looks like i am wrong again

Now if your fellow wakey fan can enlighten us on the 'blessings' you have in the halves...They are not readily apparent.

In his season at Widnes he started like a house on fire and made the fullback position his own.. was confident and had a great turn of pace and became a standout player.
By the end of the season he seemed to lose his confidence and you could see he wasn't comfortable out on the pitch. Sadly thats how many at Widnes will remember him.
I was supprised to see him make the step up to SL and have 2 good seasons.. so it looks like he has regained his confidence and I wish him all the best.

Still as pleasant as ever old girl, a merry xmas and a happy new year to you. I hope you have a good season next year

Meanwhile ...on another bank of the lake --we were strengthening the squad from the Wakey supermarket half back shelf and hoping things work out as well as other recent signings !!

Back to topic. Whereever Grix plays it is evident that one skill he has is a kicking game. This is true of Drewy and Kyle Wood (if he joins us). This will add an important dimension in 2010.
