Problem with this is Hardaker HAS been and CAN be a good player, christ he won the man of steel 2 years ago, but he hasn't done it on a regular basis and along with his off field capers would be a massive gamble to take him on.
I'd be happy to have him if we could get him on some kind of game by game contract and if he cocks up can get rid with no comeback ie paying him out ...i dunno if that kind of contract exists or would be legal.

A 2014/15 well behaved Zak Hardaker would be an asset to this club but unfortunately the 2014/15 and well behaved versions don't seem to have been around for a while now.
I will trust the clubs decision and of he does come i will support him like i do every player in the C&G.

Can't say fairer than that Daz, for Zak wherever he goes he must surely know he is at the last chance saloon, if not then if brains were made of chocolate he wouldn't have enough to make a smartie

Connors wage been taken up by new deals for Taai, Mamo and a new prop too.

On our board that we have signed Hardaker and Crooks is going to Leigh to make way. Also states Denny Solomona will be sold so the Hardaker signing will be to soften the blow.

I had heard that the money offered for Solomona was way way more than Cas could afford to turn down, Who knows if it will turn out to be true. I can see on field Hardaker could be superb at Cas, Off field who knows. All will be reveiled in due course.

Its the off field bit i'm worried by..... On field there is no denying he would be the best FB in the league by a long way if he is at his best, but will his off field antics ever allow him to be at his best. Personally i dont think so and i think whoever gets him is taking a big risk that could backfire.

if we have missed out prob be the clubs fault as they will have been waiting too long to try get out of this bradford 3 deal to try make some room for hardaker and now cas have had more time to come up with an alternative bid!

Looks like its close, agreed personal terms with them. Will certainly mean we are on the lookout now though, if we were indeed in for him. Very good player but not too disappointed as I can't see Hardaker changing personality anytime soon, if he can't do it at a club like Leeds, not sure its going to happen at Cas longterm, with his 'mates' on his doorstep.
