i haven't got an bias on this situation as i am wigan fan but he's shoulder clearly makes contact with the head and i'm not surprised by anderson's rant. 5 years ago and that tackle would of caused a mass brawl but everyones to scared to do that now because both teams would of been left with 11 or 10 men.

Its now on the Super League site , and ellis was ALSO cautioned for ANOTHER dangerous contact incident , so lighting does strike twice eh?.

after seeing the replay for the first time I can honestly say that although not malicious, it does appear wreckless and dangerous.
regardless of where ellis' arms are, he hit robbo side on and with contact to the head, im not saying he intended to but still its a dangerous tackle.

we have had men sent off for the same thing in previous games so can understand baloo's frustration.
also looked like a couple of forward passes for hull, but its history now.

Just because he's not been found guilty of the graded offence it doesn't mean the challenge wasn't a penalty.

Read more carefully. The general concensus wasn't saying it was a challenge worthy of a ban, it's saying it was a penalty because there was contact to the head and the decision by the RFL with regards the charge doesn't alter that fact.

Told you so. Wasn't a penalty or a ban. Refs and RFL get one right.

Quite a number of posters have said it was a penalty (which was not given) and have said it was not malicious in their opinion. I haven't and don't recall many others saying he should be banned.

Or you could continue on the other thread and join the debate about our support as most opposing fans do, those of us on here have heard it all before, we actually go to the games so what's your point?
