Quote the stella kid="the stella kid"Get real. Huby has achieved what in the short time since he left. kopzack won the league with us and played well. He has played well with Salford and won nothing. Kirmond played in play off games for us and has achieved virtually nothing at Wakefield. Eden was a liability at full back and although playing well now in a good side has achieved nothing since he left.
If Brierley was good enough then other super league teams would have been looking to sign him.'"
They are all players who have played better at other clubs than they did at the Giants.

Huby at cas great.
At Giants gash.
at Wakey good.
Maybe a small pattern but a pattern.
From comments on the forum I think it would be fair to say that most posters would swap the following
Clough wakeman. For Huby and Kopczak
Broughton for. Ormsby
Kirmond for ferguson
Etc.
How many players do we have who are not good enough. How many have we let go who are probably better at the current time.
At the end of the day we have brought players in who for whatever reason have not reached their potential whilst at the Giants. Either they were the wrong signings at the time which is a concern or the were the right players at the time that we could not get to work at the Giants which is a concern.
Either the recruitment of brierley was wrong or the coaching and tactics were wrong. I don't buy this if he was good enough he would have made it in any team. Half backs more than anyone are dependent on what the forwards give them and the backs are capable of doing.
Everyone knew Brierley was a support player who finished off breaks. He was not a kicker he was not an organiser he was not a magician in the halves.
We never ever used him in terms of his strengths. We should either not have bought him or should have used him properly.
But to be honest it was a panic buy because our recruitment has been dire since Brown left
