I get that totally! I am not expecting us to sky rocket up the league, just think the 1st team is certainly a competitive one, if fit, settled and well drilled! End of the day it doesn't really matter what he says, It's what he does that will count, and whoever he has in the squad he is with us and deserves the chance to take us forward, He is safe in the knowledge that he would struggle to take us backward from last season. Everyone on here whatever their opinions will be behind them on match day, Don't know why people get so upset

The reason I get upset is because the club is run so badly off the field. It's my club I want us to do well but it won't happen under current regime Ken Davy must be happy at the end of the day it's his money i wish Rick all the best he's working with 1 hand behind his back !

I see other clubs have appointed new CEO's whilst we're still saddled with Richard Cluelis.

I totally understand what your saying mate, I have said much the same thing in the past. As far as I'm concerned you are entitled to state your opinion, I maybe don't regard it as my club to the same extent as you do ,because I am not a local person, I have watched them since around 1990 and I regard them as my team now simply because they are the only side i pay to go and watch.

I think jools makes a valid point when she says " It's not your club " It's your club in the sense you are a fan, which i think is probably what you meant, But the club is a business and we as fans have no right to information regards the running of It. Really It's no different to any other business, You pay your money and you accept what you get, or you don''t pay and you don't go, "The position the majority of Huddersfield people take unfortunately".
That works both ways for me though, when things go poorly, don' t let the club or anyone else start blaming the fans, They have nothing to do with the running of the club, they just pay their money.

The club obviously put out a certain amount of info in the interest of trying to pacify fans, It seems little to nothing compared to some clubs but If that's the way it is then that's it, we live with it, The one thing no one can fault K Davy on is the amount of commitment he has shown to the club, The season tick deal alone is about as good as it gets, so for me, Whoever he wants to employ is his business. I doubt i am any happier than you about a lot of it but at least you can come on here and give your opinion on that ,or any other thing to do with the Giants, If your posts upset anyone, they don't have to read them, or they can counter with their own opinions.

Spot on mate an excellent post of course I am only a fan jools takes everything literally and must think we live in North Korea and have to tow the party line. The great irony of that is at the start of the post I highlighted our head coaches words people rushed on to condemn me and accused me of making it up till they went away and listened to him actually say it! As you rightly say we owe Ken Davy a large debt but that doesn't mean the club / business is being run well and we should not as fans be allowed to comment on it. We all want success!

Yes I think most people would consider Sam Williams and Caron Brown as very good signings. Hirst is a bit of a punt as is Grix. Wood is a sound signing. Added to that we will shortly announce Allgood from HKR who is a big tough unit.

However what really matters is who we've kept for example Johnstone, Fifita and Jowitt, remember them!

Which for me suggests we've strengthened - what more can you ask for.

His stats for last season are immense (although admittedly not in the top comp).

Played every game, averaged 155mts per game, 28 tackles per game, named in the comp (NSW) team of the year. 26 years old, never played 1st grade, which loads of st.george fans on their forums are having dickey fits about, and seem pretty outraged that he's not getting a chance.

Wakeman played for Italy in the Euro Nations just gone and is just the sort of player we should be looking to sign imo. Young, hungry and with a point to prove.
Hope there will be at least another two (plus Fergie) and with Stones' connections, we might get some nuggets yet to help improve the squad - and morale.

I'd rather we get a fullback because as things stand we are starting the season without an experienced fullback!!!!
