| As a Wakefield fan it was annoying to see him line up against us as he always seemed to score against us. It's sad to see a player having to retire through injury, especially one who always seemed to be very passionate about the game. Hope he can remain in the game in some capacity.

| What a shame.....one of the hardest, most enthusiastic, energetic, brave players i've ever seen, and a lovely man too.
Has been a fantastic player for us and will surely go down as one of the greats of the modern era ?
Was a joy to watch at times but everytime he got knocked out or got helped off the field you knew it would take it's toll on him eventually
The club must do something to reward him i feel, he should be leading the team out on Friday and taking the applause of both sets of fans, especially considering it's against the team he made his name with !
All the best Robbo and thank you for many, many years of memories, a great servant to Huddersfield RLFC

| I often remember the 2010 season, he was on fire with the scoots from dummy half and from there got picked for international honours and was probably the best Eng player in the series.

| Personally I'm glad he has called it a day, It's sad but he is a young man with a life in front of him, He wants to be fit and well to enjoy it. Such is his style of play that he would be almost bound to get hurt time and again. More than one coach has given testimony to his toughness , he is not one to shirk a tackle no matter the size of the man coming at him, and this has been taking it's toll, so it is the right decision.
He will have many things to look back on with pride in his career, especially with the Giants, There is no doubt he has been a major part of the success the Giants have enjoyed in recent years, and he has always appeared to be really happy to be at the club.
I hope he goes on to enjoy the same success he enjoyed as a player, in the rest or his working career, ( poss with the Giants ). Good luck Robbo

Considering the reasons he left Wigan, a testimonial against us may not be on the cards.
Shame to see anyone retire early. Best wishes to him in his post playing career.

| echo most people's thoughts, he will, in my eyes go down as a true legend of the game, not the biggest, not the best, but certainly one of the bravest rugby league players i've ever seen.
he was a very good all round player, an he showed he had most tricks in his locker, and wouldn't ever shirk a tackle, no matter how big or dangerous the opposition was ( Edinburgh 2010) springs to mind!
i was very pleased when we signed him as he had been a right pain against us over the years, especially in his time at salford when he seemed to have a spell over us!
but most of all, a cracking fella, a credit to himself and his family, i will never forget sat in departures at Manchester airport waiting to board the same flight as the team, and Robbo made it his duty to come and sit and chat with us, he didn't have to, but wanted to thank us personally for going to the south of france to cheer the lads on.
top bloke Robbo, cheers and good luck

| Please Robbo - now you're going to have more time on your hands, please, no more duff carpet adverts!!
All round top bloke who gave everything for the club, always one of the first to acknowledge us fans and had time for a word with everyone.
Small in stature but as hard as nails and literally gave blood for the cause - 100% effort and commitment always. A credit to himself and the club.
All the best to him and his family.

| As I posted on the VT, he's a gritty little b*stard. One of those players who's respected by all fans, I'd say. A 100%-er.
