| Quote adamhuddsgiant="adamhuddsgiant"Another thing that shot by Lima, started ok but after initial collision seemed to explode his elbow out in a rather dangerous manner? Anybody else think it was a tad poor play? Although he did run up to him to after the final hooter, I assume to check fiaumu was ok.'"
Shot? It's not often that the person being tackled gets described as a effecting a "shot", especially when it ends in a clash of heads from which either player could have been injured.

| Quote Pemps="Pemps"Definite head clash. He hits him in the chest with his arm and he's clear of Lima when the elbow is up. I assumed that the replay wasn't clear at the game because of the booing he received but there really wasn't anything in it.'"
Replays have nothing to do with crowd reaction
Im more concerned that Thaler looked at the video screen for Sam high shot where Leroy and Jermaine clashed heads yet didnt give a penalty at the time but never went for that one, he seemed to pick his moments for a few decisions.

The Sam one was a clear high tackle and penalty to Wigan, the Lima one was an accidental head clash with nobody to blame. He got both decisions right. Also note that in both incidents Wigan players were the ball carriers which means Huddersfield players have the responsibility to safely effect the tackle.

| Giants owned by a wigan team that never got out of 2nd gear , the decision to send Lunt to Leeds looks laughable right now .

Spot on, it was a clash of heads, overall I thought the ref had a decent game, a couple of decisions, was harsh, the one where Robbo got a couple of high shots yet Thaler gave it as a knock on, and I thought the ball strip on Brown.
Wigan was the better team and won, but I think the first team to score at 12-16 was going on to win and you had 8 mins where you scored 3 tries.

| Wigan were ruthless in exploiting weakness in the Hudds defensive line. They spotted Grix a lot and made good ground and quick PTB's through him, and once they are on the front foot it's difficult to stop them.
I have to say Kev Brown had a terrible game in defence. He was very passive on both Charnley tries and allowed firstly Tomkins and then O'Loughlin to get easy ball out to Goulding, O'Loughlin in particular he could have got to. And then in the second half he was very weak against Farrell for his try and then Lima at the end, was shrugged off far too easily after the collision.

| Well sad and disappointed we lost. But not too despondent . We can and mostly have played much much better than that this season. Last night Wigan were good , and too many of our players under performed on the night, plus had to put in long minutes.
This season we have won some games when playing poorly ( the sign of a good team ) but against wigan we needed a great performance.
Will be a saints fan next Sunday too.

| Hudds did have the opportunity to score a few which they bummed but howmany did Gelling fluff for Wigan. Both sides werent as clincal as the could have been and had we had Pat in the team i think those scores would have been converted as well as the conversions. The score could have looked very one sided which would not have been a fair reflection of the game as Hudds looked strong for two thirds of the game.

| The first half was a cracker and it seemed like anyone game. However Huddersfield then seemed to fall away on the 50 mins mark and completely lost their way. For me Huddersfield still havent learned how to slug it out against the big teams. If you factor in Pat Richards playing, and a probable 2 extra tries that we would have got, and our dreadful kicking we could have easily won by a lot more in the end.

| And IF (which is a big word) we had taken our chances we could have maybe won
Nowhere near our best last night and we couldn't produce the flair we've shown this season due to the weather but the game changer was Eden's dropped ball after his try. Add to that we just didn't get the bounce of the ball last night ie Giants chip over and the ball doesn't bounce up for Eden. Wigan kick a long ball that looks to be going out yet then decides to turn a corner and stays in forcing us to knock it out. Nothing went our way, we had too many player not at the top of their game last night and the best team won. On a drier day with the odd bounce of the ball we could have inflicted the same scoreline on Wigan. It was one game, no trophies won from it.

| Yeh they do help create a great atmosphere. Some of our fans might as well be cardboard cut outs.
