| I'll hold my hands up & say that I went over to the DW this afternoon just hoping that we wouldn't get a tonking. However, what I had the privilege to witness was a team that was determined to win no matter what. Superb defence & some great attacking play too.
It was more about having a winning attitude than anything else. The young crop were great & Crabtree was an absolutely fantastic example to all. Robbo stepped up too.
A thoroughly well deserved victory for Fartown.

| great performance by the lads today, i too, hoped we would give them a game and not disgrace ourselves but we more than stood up to be counted. our defence was brutal at times and our kicking game was very good,i think the fact that we had been written off by just about everyone gave us a boost and an attitude that we would not be beaten.
highlights for me were jerry smashing sky's lil darling and apart from his try he never came near us again! oh and larne's 2nd try, pure class!

| I've been saying all week that we could do it, and we did.
No one MOTM today, there were 17. Brough's superb kicking, Grix a revelation at SO, George's try-saving tackles, McGilvary's catches at the end + his kick through, Eorl for playing 65 minutes. Leroy for playing the 2nd half with an injured knee. All the way through they were outstanding. With the team on display, this was a performance to at least match that at Headingley last year.
We even had to wait 75 minutes before the one man, 5 drives down the middle followed by a kick! The passing was slick, side to side, & changing direction.
If this is what NB meant by a new style of play and expansive rugby, then long may it reign!
The only downside was Wane's sour grapes on the radio interview when he said that 'the Giants have their style of play which slowed the game right down to their pace, meaning that we couldn't play our game'. Priceless coming from the kings of slowing the game down! Also the dummy runners were as near obstructions as they could be without the referee deeming them to be obstructing play - I personally thought that they were illegal and should have been penalised.

| Brilliant effort by all the lads today including Tommy Lee for any of the Wakefield fans that didn't give him a chance in hell of doing anything even vaguely positive for us.
Was worth the trip across just to see Tomkins being stepped by a prop, priceless moment. And it was a prop that was meant to be out till at least march with a broken wrist too!! Don't know what Larne's bones are made out of but they deffinatly aint human!

| Defence was solid in main field of play- showed a bit of nerves on goal line. Gilly played prop and he convinced me- the likes of hock were stunned by the tenacity of our youngsters. Little grix put in some right one on ones on guys much bigger than him. Sam Tomkinswas shown how to step bypatrick jerry made some great yardage and out jumped Richards twice- he also put a right hit in early on. Eden made a couple of errors due to inexperience early on but settled and helped make our first try. Eorl put in a good solid long 65 mins. Broughs kicking was inch perfect apart from one single kick. I agree with the dummy runner comments. According to @wiganrl there were 500 of the claretandgold gold- and we outsung 16,000 wiganers. However Wigan were poor their kicking game was non existent and they made a lot of handling mistakes- one in particular where if the pass had got to Richards it was a definite try. Only Farrell and Tomkinswas showed any flair

not hard to outsing 16,000 wiganers really, the only time you hear them is when they are booing or moaning for a penalty to help them out!

| Absolutely awesome from the Giants today - very impressed with how we kept our nerve at the end - great performances from 1 to 17. Larne truly is a GIANT and scored two superb tries. Signs are good for the season with all the new boys playing well and the youngsters stepping up really well.
Special mention to Eorl - put in a long stint, and came back again late on. Best I have seen him play ever in the leadership he showed and set a great example for the rest of the team.
Every one played well - great win that to be honest I could not see coming. Really glad to have been there today and that will live long in the memory.

| Well done to all players. That performance was sensational and i can only think of two mistakes the whole game.
Both from eden early on but he his inexperienced but was solid from then on and looks a really good player.
Larne was amazing when he came on. That sidestep will be remembered all season and to say he has come back from injury early then fair play to him.
Eorl for playing 65 minutes. We needed someone to step up in the pack and he did. He was amazing.
Broughy - kicking game was amazing. Every kick but 1 found the ground and organised the whole field.
Jerry - catching them 2 balls at the end, smashing tomkins and helping our forwards out. Top player and he played well.
Rest of lads did their bit and the whole 17 deserve a pat on back. BUt im sure brownyn will have them working hard this week and getting ready for the vikings.
Well played lads

| I thought your kicking game was one of the big differences between the 2 sides, Brough controlled things from start to finish and really helped you set the platform for your attack, your defence/discipline was solid. We on the other hand couldn't put any pressure on yourselves and when we did get chances we was put under pressure by your defence which was always up in our faces which often resulted in us making errors which is great defence. Good victory considering the players you had out as well, going to be an interesting season!

| You guys where superb yesterday. If you can keep brough fit you are going to be right in the mix once again. I was also impressed with Larne Patrick! That kid could be pushing for an England place at the end of the season.
Although we lost, its good to be back watching a propper sport! I shall see you lot at the Galpharm later on in the season.

| Sounds like the sports psycho is getting the belief back.
After a performance like yesterdays then we could be in for the best year yet!
However, it will be interesting to see how we play Widnes next week. Lets not waste this amazing start to the season
Come on you Giants!!

After every good performance we should show the players a video of last seasons game at Crusaders. Then there will be no complacency

Thst's not sour grapes, it's a compliment.
Huddersfield did what they had do to to win the game and did it well.
Well done.
